The Prelude Festival offers more opportunities for us to present a sample of what happens in Cartagena every year; on one hand there are acclaimed classical music concerts, and on the other is the training program where our invited artists dedicate their time to work with students from a country eagerly searching for peace. Since 2005, our commitment has been to create more opportunities for music and for the country’s cultural development. The Prelude Festival offers just that: an opportunity to present excellent artists and give them the ability to pass on their knowledge and experiences to our students. Your donor support contributes to the Festival’s success, as well as making the dreams come true for the students of Colombia. As President of the Salvi Foundation – Colombia, I know without a doubt that with the contributions and efforts of all, we can create projects and present programs like the Cartagena Festival, bringing peace and culture to our country through music. Music fills our lives with joy, serving as another way for the soul to express its most intimate feelings. Bringing music to our students is our heritage, our duty and our purpose… Today we would like to encourage you to move forward one step and become a leader with us the opportunities for many students are in your hands. Another aspect is that the Foundation wants to better highlight the invited artists. In this regard Maldonado stated, “Currently technology is the best tool to introduce the new artists of the Car tagena Fes t i va l .
