Fall Festival Tonight All youth group students are invited to help us serve at the Fall Festival tonight. I’m asking for students to be available for at least one of the two hours from 5-7pm tonight. Those of you who need to record service hours may count tonight’s efforts. Feel free to dress up in a fun costume for the evening! Parent Forum: How and Why to Create a Family
Technology Plan This morning we had part 1 of our forum. If you missed it I want you to know you are still welcome to attend part 2 next week. We want families to feel confident in having conversations about technology, boundaries, and the like. I can easily make the information presented this morning available to you should you desire to see it. Much of what was discussed is based on the work of Tony Bianco that was presented by him at the D6 conference a few weeks ago. You can learn more about him and his ministry at www.familytechnologyplan.com. Part 2: On the evening of November 5th from 6-8pm we invite parents and students to come back together for a workshop where we will develop a tech plan with families. Please make sure to eat dinner before you come.

Fall Festival The Park Avenue Community Fall Festival is today from 5-7 PM in the Ark. In an effort to try some new ideas and increase participation among all ages, we have a few new offerings this year. In addition to the game stations, we will have a display of handmade quilts sewn by our Park Avenue Quilters. The display will be in the Youth Suite, so be sure to pass through and enjoy the beautiful handwork produced by our talented women.
Another exciting feature is the Homemade Pie Contest. We encourage bakers of all ages to try out their culinary skills and enter the contest. Anyone can partner with an older or younger person to work together on a tasty creation. The age categories are: 10 and under, 11-16 years, 17 years and up.
Flight 56 Flight 56 will not meet tonight due to the Fall Festival but will resume next Sunday, Novem-ber 5.

Welcome to our worship services.
Henriann and I are off to Missouri this morning
for a family wedding. Thanks to Basil for bringing the Word to you this morning.
This is the last Sunday in October, and being a fifth Sunday, we will have a second contribution to apply to the mortgage of the family life cen-ter. This month marks seven years since the dedication of the Ark on 10/10/10. My how time has flown.
Speaking of time flying, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Armstrong Avenue Church of Christ making the move to our current location. To commemorate this mile-stone, we’re putting together a list of current members who were here when the move was made 30 years ago. Please let me know if you were one of the original members of the Park Avenue Church of Christ.
We are so indebted to those who worked countless hours planning and working and giving to make it possible for us to have this great facility at this great location.
You might recognize a face or two in the picture to the right of the ground-breaking that appeared in the Denison Herald back in November of 1986.
Todd’s Take
Excerpts from the Armstrong
Avenue Messenger
January 2, 1987—Things look good
for the Armstrong Avenue Family in
1987. Probably the most exciting
prospect is the completion of the new
building. May God help us as we
prepare to enter this exciting ministry
at the corner of Park Avenue and
Highland Park.
April 10, 1987—Have you seen the
new building lately? It certainly is an
impressive sight. Seeing that building
go up is a great testimony to the faith
of the members of this congregation.
But most of all it is a testimony to the
power of God working through His
people.
