- 132 tenants/brands change: open 56 (42%), close 72 (55%), renovation 4 (3%)

- Number of store with area 20-50 and 50-100 sqm decreases and number of store with area <20m2

increase

- Demand of Food and beverage brands is highest, Electronics demand is lowest

FORECAST IN QIII- QIV/2012:

Retail continues facing challenges. Many new retail spaces will open (Me Linh Plaza Ha Dong,

Indochina Plaza, Trang Tien Plaza, …) but consumers will continue tightening their budget for

shopping.

- Scope : customers at 188 fashion shops in more than 40 provinces nationwide

- Purpose : evaluate the demand and fashion taste of customers

- Result :

+ In the economic downturn, purchasing power is decreasing sharply, customers reduce expenditure

on luxury products. 70% customers focus on fashion products which are highly applicable, easy-to-

wear with reasonable price

+ Priority of customers when choosing fashion products: price and design. Besides, customers now

prefer shopping on large shopping place where they can find many products with different styles for

the whole family

+ Customers now pay more attention on the quality of the products than its brands

+ Increase in fashion awareness of customers: 30% customers think that “Fashion is just to show on

the stage” (the percentage of their previous survey is 50%)
