I hope all our families enjoy the break and come back refreshed and ready for a busy Term 4. Congratulations again to our staff who gained interviews for the vacant AP position. You all did a great job to achieve this opportunity. As we are still the in appeals period I will announce the successful applicant in our first newsletter back next term. Last week’s Junior camp at Myuna Bay was a great couple of days. It is always good to see our young people in different contexts and they never cease to amaze me at what they can do! Well done to all the camp staff and organizers. Already looking forward to next year’s camps. Well done to all our students who attended the Combined SSP’s sports day in Maitland last Friday. This day is organised by staff at Hunter River Community School and is a brillant day for everyone. Our students represented our school beautifully and some students won medals in their events. See you all back at school Tuesday 8 th of October!! Footy Tipping Results
Class 5JM have been running the 2013 NRL Footy
Tipping Competition across the school. Each week
students have typed up, distributed the draw,
marked the results and provided information about
the tallies for staff and student tipsters at Assembly.
This activity has been part of their Literacy,
Numeracy and HSIE programs. Thank you to
Mandy (our SLSO), Camille for helping when I was
on Long Service Leave in Term 2, Luke (best draw
typing skills), Chris, Lachlan, Tanisha, Liam and
Sarah who have all done a great job.
Today we presented certificates and prizes to the
winners at Assembly.
