Andrew Adamson was born in Auckland on the first of December 1966

He was born in New Zealand but then moved to Papua New Guinea at 11years old but later returned to NZ at 18. At 24years old, he moved to San Francisco and since making the Narnia films he has returned back to NZ and had two daughters
Biography of his life
Adamson wanted to be an architect, but missed a university enrollment deadline because of a car accident.
In 1985 he began a career in computer animation working for the Auckland company, The Mouse That Roared
Andrew Adamson was recruited by Pacific Data Images to go to work in the USA.
The company opened an office in the California city of Los Angeles.
There he served as a technical director in the following movies: Toys, and Angels in the Outfield.
Previously Andrew specialised in commercials but preferred the idea of telling a story in longer format.
Andrew served as visual effects supervisor in the 1995 film Batman Forever, A Time to Kill, and Batman & Robin (1997).
