    The tatue of Liberty was (rance)s gift to 'merica. *t was built in +- and remainsa famous world symbol of freedom and one of the greatest 'merican icons. *t is theworld)s largest statue and stands !ust less than +/ feet tall from the base to thetorch, and weighs appro0imately 12,222 pounds. The statue offers a fine view of the New York 3arbor and lower 4anhattan. *t is located on Liberty *sland and ashort boat ride is re5uired to get to the statue.
