How to spend New Year’s Eve in some of Spain’s
great cities
Madrid
As in the rest of Spain, you’ll eat the lucky 12 grapes – one by one in time to the striking
of the clock! Head to the Puerta del Sol where this tradition is particularly
famous!
31st December is a very special celebration in Madrid
and the partying goes on well into the early hours!
Barcelona
It’s so packed full that people are stood shoulder to shoulder for hundreds of yards admiring
the firework display whilst eating their ‘doce uvas’
Like Madrid, Barcelona knows how to do New Year’s Eve!The firework display at the Plaza de España is
absolutely incredible!
Málaga
The Plaza de la Constitución isthe place to be at midnight
on the 31st in Málaga!
Around 2,000 bags of grapes will be handed out
as well as hundreds of goodie bags!
Salamanca
Being a city filled with students,Salamanca is absolutely rocking
on New Year’s Eve!
