Mit diesem Arbeitsheft kannst du die Sprachstrukturen üben, die du in
den Englischlektionen gelernt hast und deinen Englischwortschatz
festigen und erweitern.
Du arbeitest wahrscheinlich selbstständig
und ohne fremde Hilfe mit diesem Heft. Hier
ein paar Hinweise, bevor du beginnst.

kennnengelernt und in der Unit geübt hast.

Vocabulary training
Dieser Teil gibt dir die Möglichkeit das Class
vocabulary zu üben. Er enthält auch Wörter,
denen du ab und zu begegnet bist sowie
einige neue Wörter. So kannst du deinen
Grundwortschatz erweitern.

hast. Die Aufgaben in diesem Teil nehmen
die wichtigsten Themen nochmals auf.
Notiere dir, wie viele Punkte du machst.

Oft findest du Tipps, ab wann du eine Übung im Booster machen
kannst. Versuche nicht, diese Übungen früher zu lösen. Das bereitet dir
Probleme, da du auf Dinge stösst, die du noch nicht verstehst. Keine
gute Idee!
Es ist sehr wichtig, dass du die Übungen in
der vorgegebenen Reihenfolge machst. Eine
spätere Übung bezieht sich oft auf eine
vorangegangene.
Du musst nicht alle Übungen auf einmal
lösen. Verteile die Aufgaben auf mehrere
Tage. Überlaste dich nicht.
Lies die Aufgabe immer sorgfältig durch,
bevor du mit einer Übung beginnst.
Wenn du willst, dass dieses Arbeitsheft ordentlich und sauber aussieht,
kannst du die Antworten zuerst auf ein Blatt Papier schreiben. Danach
kontrollierst du sie mit Hilfe des Schlüssels und trägst sie ins Heft ein.

The present continuous: positive sentences
These sentences are about things that are happening now.

Contracted forms are used nearly all the time when speaking and most of the time when writing
informal texts such as letters or emails.

1 The girl in the café are playing for the number 33.
2 The children in the park is driving a hot chocolate.
3 The man in the blue car are waiting with their dog.
4 Her baby sister is drinking for something to eat.

b Read these sentences and mark the main verbs.
1 Roger’s playing tennis today in Paris.
2 My mum and dad are watching the tennis on the television. Oh, good! Roger’s winning.
3 I’m sitting on the sofa and am concentrating on this exercise.
4 Oh no, that’s not right. I’m looking out of the window.
5 The train’s going past our house.

Main verbs + -ing
If you’re speaking, put -ing on the end of the verb. But if you’re writing, follow these rules:
