GETTING STARTED

Download from your app store on iOS or Android by searching Sun Tran. Select “Sun Tran Bus Tracker & Trip Planner”

Share Your Location

Select ‘Allow’ to show your current location and to find nearby routes.

Home Screen

The home screen will show your current location on the map (blue dot). Below the map it will show which Bus Stops are nearby and the

estimated arrival time of the next bus. Select a Bus Stop to see scheduled times and more options.

Route Times

When you select a Bus Stop you will see all the routes that leave from

that stop. Select a route to see all scheduled times for that stop. You will also be able to change to a later time to plan ahead.

Plan Ahead

Click on ‘Current Time’ to give you the option to select ‘Use Another

Date & Time’. Choose a date and time you wish to travel. Click ‘Save’ to see results.

The Menu

To find the menu, click on the hamburger icon( ) in the top left

corner to see all the menu options.

Here you will see the Following Options:

o Next Bus/ Plan my Trip

o Track a Route

o Favorites

o Alerts

o Login

o Create Account.

To return to the Home Screen click on ‘Next Bus/ Plan my Trip’

Plan my Trip – how to access trip planner

To plan a trip, select the ‘Next Bus/ Plan my Trip option. This will open the Home Screen Click on the yellow bar labeled ‘Plan my Trip’

Plan my Trip – how to use trip planner

Enter the Start and End point. Clicking on the arrows will

allow you to reverse the starting and ending. Select the option that works best for you.

Plan my Trip – planning a trip at a later time

Selecting ‘Trip Timing’ allows you to set the departure date and time

for future trips Choose to plan your trip by setting departure date and time or

arrival date and time.

Plan my Trip – changing your options

Selecting ‘Sort By’ gives you options to filter by; Fastest travel time,

Shortest walking distance or Least transfer points.

Plan my Trip – using recent trips

Selecting ‘Recent Trips’ allows you to select from recently

searched trips.

Track a Route – select a route

To track a route, click ‘Track a Route’ on the menu. You can search for a route or scroll through all the routes. Tap on Multi-Route to select multiple routes. After selecting desired

routes, click ‘See on Map’.

Track a Route – finding info

When you select a route, you can see all the stops along the route and

the current bus location. Clicking on the bus icon will show details about the bus, if it is on time,

how full the bus is, the vehicle number and the destination.

Create an Account

You need to create an account and log in, in order to receive alerts

and set favorites. From the menu, click on ‘Create Account’ option another screen will

appear that will allow you to input your information. Once an account has been created a link will be sent to the email that

you provided to activate the account.

Alerts

From the menu, click on ‘Alerts’ to see any alerts that

Sun Tran may have. Alerts are split up into three groups; General, Routes, and Stops. The yellow circle next to them represents the number of alerts. You can also select to view Sun Tran’s or Sun Link’s Twitter Feeds.

Favorites – marking your usual stops

From the menu, click on ‘Favorites’ to save Addresses, Bus Routes,

and Trips. Click on the yellow, “Add New” button to save an address to your

favorites. Enter the Name of the Address, the Address, and the click “Add to

Favorites. This address will now appear in your Favorites, under the Address tab.

Favorites – saving a route as a favorite

Bus Routes can be saved while ‘Tracking a Route’ by clicking on the

star ( ) next to ‘Add to Favorites’. This route will now be saved in Favorites, under the ‘Bus Routes’ tab.

Favorites – saving a trip as a favorite

A trip can be saved while planning a trip by clicking on the star ( )

next to ‘Add to Favorites’. This route will now be saved in Favorites, under the ‘Trips’ tab.

Reminders – to get arrival info for your usual trips

Reminders can be set while looking at Route Times. Click the bell ( ) next to ‘Set next bus reminders for this stop’. Select the option you prefer and click save.

Reminders – setting the days of the week you want a reminder

A recurring reminder can be set. Select your preferred days and time you usually take a trip and

click save. A confirmation screen will show you successfully set a reminder.
