Newly Formatted Armory Classes—Armory's Ladder for Artistic Achievement! We are pleased to introduce the newly formatted listing of courses in this catalogue. The new format has been created to help students select classes in accordance to skill level and interest.

Core Classes are listed as: • Introductory• Intermediate• Advanced

Complementary Classes list courses of all levels and focus on specific techniques related to a particular art discipline.

Course content has not changed! Our instructors will always provide one-on-one instruction, group instruction, individual critiques, and class demonstrations.

We hope that the new format will benefit everyone by providing a clearer approach to trying a new class from our art disciplines and our dynamic course oerings.

Please contact the Chief of Education, Liza Niles at [email protected] with specific questions about courses.

Convenient Night Classes A variety of evening classes are scheduled for the convenience of those working in the daytime. The classes are shortened to two hours, making them a fun and easy

way for students to explore their creative side. What a great way to end the day!

Be one step ahead… Drawing & Sculpture Intensive Workshop for Rising FreshmenClasses Taught by Experienced MFA Instructors

It is standard practice that students in visual arts and design need to strengthen their two dimensional and three dimensional skill sets. In this workshop young students will:

• Navigate: drawing (2D) and sculpture (3D) as a powerful way to see the world and an essential exercise intrinsic to art and design practice

• Explore: drawing and sculpture materials and tools

• Create: both imagined situations and the observable nuances of the human figure and the environment

The same workshops are oered two times:

Monday through Friday | 10:30 am – 3:30 pm June 5-9, 2017 July 17-21, 2017 Tuition per workshop: $200

Here's a way for serious students to get a head start on their high school studies that begin in the fall. We are pleased to introduce the Summer Art Academy at the Armory for rising freshmen and junior high school students who plan to study visual arts and/or design in

Summer Art Academyhigher education. The courses are to guide students in their approach to their craft—to foster confidence, creativity, critical thinking, and time management; and be prepared for the school year.

• Work process• Technical and analytical skills• Aesthetic • Time management

The same workshops are oered two times:
