SAMS This software system is designed to better manage a user’s fluid sealing applications with the primary objective of saving money! SAMS is implemented through a partnership with the user, the distributor, and Sealing Equipment Products Company (SEPCO®).

Implementation is a five-step process

1. Our experts perform a verification survey of all plant pumps, agitators and other rotating equipment.2. They recommend the proper packing or seal for each piece of equipment.3. They train personnel on the correct installation and operation of the sealing product.4. In partnership with the user, they provide complete product tracking.5. They recommend and help implement an inventory control plan.

The product tracking process identifies product performance to a specific piece of equipment. Using this data, the SAMS report features give the user the tools to control inventory levels and to make better predictive maintenance decisions. SEPCO®’s failure analysis provides solutions for problem applications.

HOS - CARTRIDGE MOUNTED HOT OIL SEALThe SEPCO® HOS is a balanced, single-spring, rotary seal capable of handling conditions much higher temperatures than conventional single-spring designs. It was developed for use when lubricating products are handled that contain suspended solids and when thermo-sensitive liquids that set up and harden at ambient temperatures are used.• Nonclogging - The design of the HOS allows operation in liquids that contain suspended solids or

thermo-sensitive products that may impede operation as wear occurs.• Single-coil spring - This spring maintains a consistent load as the faces wear and is more resistant

to clogging than other types of loading devices.• Cartridge-mounted - This completely self-contained unit is preassembled and preset at the factory

for ease of installation and maintenance on equipment that requires periodic axial adjustments.• Hydraulically balanced - Hydraulic balancing is achieved internally, allowing operation at high

pressures. This also reduces hydraulic loads, resulting in cooler operation, less power use andextended reliability.

• Turbulence enhancer - The compression ring is designed to create movement in and around thedynamic O-ring, reducing the accumulation of solids. This allows correct seal face alignment.

• Versatile - The HOS is available for standard and oversized stuffing boxes. The slotted gland allowsfor versatility in mounting. Machined parts provide superior corrosion resistance and eliminateexpensive modifications to the equipment.
