RV PRODUCTS INC Turnbuckle #T-1 Our turnbuckle is meant to be used in con-juction with the sling cable of our Ready Brake. If you have ever had problems getting our sling cable adjusted properly this will help to fine tune the adjustment every time. 1st. Attach the new spring hook on the turnbuckle directly to the loop sticking out of the front of your car. (#1 in fig #2) Now adjust the turnbuckle to where there is about 1” - 1.5” of threads exposed on both sides of the turnbuckle. This will give you plenty of adjustment for the sling. 2nd. Next attach your black sling to the other eye on the turnbuckle with the snap hook on the sling. (#2 in fig #2) 3rd. Now adjust your black sling cable leaving about 4” of slack in the middle. 4th. Last thing is to adjust the turnbuckle. Leaving about 2 - 2 1/2” of slack in the middle of the black sling cable. Once the desired slack is adjusted tighten both 1/4-20 nuts with a wrench to keep the turnbuckle tight. Fig. #1 #1 Fig. #2 #2 NSA RV Products Inc. 445 W.
