Imagine if every believer could answer that question with the name of a person who is far from God—a person for whom they’re praying and with whom seeking to share the gospel. That’s the intention behind Who’s Your One. We believe God’s people don’t merely need another method for evangelism— what they need is a white-hot passion to see people who are far from God experience the new life He offers through Jesus Christ. Over the coming days, our church and countless others will prioritize personal ownership of the Great Commission as we each intentionally pursue one person with the hope of the gospel. Hello Association, We have a good start to the semester. The weather hasn’t caused us to cancel any in these two months. The last couple of weeks we have talked about what we want when we come to Jesus and why? This week we will look at the why of Jesus’ coming. I do want to promote our state spring retreat at Falls Creek, April 5-7. The cost is $35. This open to all young adults age 18-24. They do not have to be in college. There is a focus on those in the work force during the conference. This is also a great time for high school seniors to come and get some preps for college. The other advantage is they can meet the BCM director and students of the college they will attend in the fall. Hello my name is Seth Bevers, the new BCM Director. I grew up in Altus, and am glad to be back in the area. I’ve been in ministry for 13 years. I want to say a big thank you to Brent Logan for all he has achieved as the interim director. Second semester began with Brent & I handing out free donuts and coffee. It was a good time to make new connections with the students & invite them to the BCM. At the January 16th noonday it was also a reception to welcome me as the new director. We had a lot of pastors & staff come and I would like to thank them for taking the time out of their day to do that. We continue to meet on Thursday night (6pm-9pm) for Bible study, food, music & games. The potential is great here at Western & I am looking forward to seeing our attendance grow as we make a push to reach out to the students for the sake of the Gospel. All churches attending Falls Creek summer youth camp MUST send their group leader and one other representative to one Re-gional Prep Meeting. If a church fails to have a representative at the meeting, the church will not be allowed to attend camp. A meeting will be at Elk City FBC, April 9th at 6:30pm.
