A MESSAGE FROM CHAMBER BOARD TREASURER TINA PALERMO:

I am very excited to be a member of the 2018 Chamber Board of Directors as well as serve as this year’s Treasurer. We have many exciting events coming up in 2018 and lots of fresh ideas to increase Chamber membership. We are a growing Chamber, but need our members’ help to further increase our membership garden (in the spirit of Spring). I encourage you to reach out to your business neighbors/associates and invite them to our mixers and events so they can learn more about what we do. We have many membership benefits including a great lending arm program in the form of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). The IDC makes available a low interest loan for businesses that have (or plan to have) a New Oxford zip code. Loans of up to $50,000 are considered at a fixed rate of 4%. These funds can be used to start a business, purchase real estate, fund business renovations or expansions, and even purchase new machinery and equipment. All loans are reviewed by the IDC committee and recommended to the New Oxford Area Chamber Board of Directors for final approval. I think this membership benefit is very valuable, not only to Chamber members, but the New Oxford community as well. Please reach out to the Chamber office to learn more and find out how your business can benefit from the IDC. It’s time to grow and beautify the streets of New Oxford, and with a little water and business networking we can make it happen! Happy Spring!
