I am Flex alumna '13. I have always thought that most of the Moldovan teenagers stuggle to be opened about the problems they face during the difficult time of adolescense; problems regarding their more personal life. They are not prone to ask their parents or teachers or any other mature person for help in their personal life and that is why some of them may end up regreting some of their choices later. Some of such choices may be regarding their future profession, new friends, a job or even a new life style. Because of the corruption we have in this country, many high school students are already disappointed in the future and many of them give up on getting the profession they want even before knowing more about it. Orphan students struggle even with more hardships, first of all because after graduating from their high school, they have limited financial resources and many leave the thought of getting a career behind and get a job. Fewer of them . During 7 months, a group of volunteers and I want to educate 15 high school students from an orphanage from Chișinău on matters such as leadership, volunteering, project making, getting integrated in a new community during college, physical health and social well-being. We would also like to become their friends who they could address with any questions they find it difficult to talk about with an adult. We are requesting this grant because it will help achieve this great goal of integrating orphan students in the society
