Sectional concaves are a dream for customers harvesting both small grains and maize, offering super-fast crop to crop flexibility, they can be changed in under 20 minutes.

This six-strawwalker 450hp model benefits from ECOBlue™ HI-eSCR technology for Tier 4B compliance and features a 12,500 litre grain tank. Compatible with the 12.5 metre Varifeed™ header, when it’s equipped with SmartTrax™ rubber tracks with Terraglide™ suspension, you’ll definitely be harvesting at the next level.

The CX7 & CX8 combines quite simply offer you a home away from home during long harvesting days and nights. The Harvest Suite™ Ultra cab is completely new to the CX range, and is the result of extensive customer consultation. The cab volume has increased to 3.7m³ and boasts 6.3m2 of glass, 7% more than previous models. You can enjoy all that space in the peace and quiet of the near silent 73dB(A) cab. For enhanced comfort during long harvesting days, a removable fridge located beneath the instructor seat is installed as standard. The new inclined floor offer a perfect vision on your header in all crops, to control the perfect feeding of the combine, during day and night, with no compromise.

Shining a light on harvesting excellenceThe CX’s lighting package has raised the lighting bar. The spread of light has been precision engineered for maximum visibility of the entire header and the field ahead and behind. Precision unloading in the dead of night. You’ll never lose a single grain thanks to a specific unloading auger light. You even have the choice of a full work light package. Another innovation from New Holland. Completely new long distance led lights offer an incredible visibity up to 400m during the night, just like daylight!

The new harvesting console offers ergonomic control of all key harvesting parameters, and it has been designed to become an extension of you. The force based CommandGrip™ multifunction handle, as found on high horsepower tractors, the CR range of rotary combines and the FR range of forage harvesters, delivers intuitive control and enables you to fine tune harvesting speed for ultimate performance. Your arm is always relaxed, at the same position, and you can drive a full day of harvesting without any tiredness.

Touchscreen simplicityThe ultra-wide 26.4cm IntelliView™ IV colour touchscreen monitor is fixed on rollers which can move along an ideal viewing arc so you can position it just where you want. Up to three cameras can be fitted which eliminate the blind spots around the combine. A second screen can be installed on request and is perfect for IntelliSteer® auto guidance tasks.

The Opti-Speed™ strawwalkers represent a ground-breaking harvesting advance and deliver up to 10% productivity improvements. Unique in the industry, New Holland enables operators to regulate strawwalker speed in respect to harvesting conditions. Simply select from four settings: wheat, maize, rape seed or rice, and your CX will automatically regulate strawwalker speed. When travelling uphill strawwalker speed reduces to ensure all of the valuable grains remains safely inside the combine, and on downward gradients, the speed is increased to maintain efficient separation.

Gravity defying Opti-Fan™ technologyThe award winning Opti-Fan™ system is standard across the range, and compensates for the gravitational effects on crops during harvesting. Select the desired fan speed on flat ground and the system automatically adjusts it: when harvesting on upward slopes the fan slows down to prevent losses, and when tackling downhill gradients it increases the speed to maintain a perfectly clean grain sample. This efficient system requires no extra work from the operator and provides a better grain sample together with reduced losses.

The cleanest grain for the highest rewardsThe Opti-Clean™ system, optimises the stroke and throwing angles in the cleaning system and improves cleaning performance by up to 20% for enhanced profitability. The cascade is optimised for greater capacity, and the longer sieve stroke and steep throwing angle keep more material airborne for even higher cleaning efficiency. If that wasn’t enough, the entire system works to reduce overall machine vibrations and increase operator comfort.

Opti-Spread™ system: Spreading wide. Always.When using the largest 12.5m Varifeed™ header on the CX8, a dedicated and powerful straw spreading system is a must. The optional Opti-Spread™ straw spreader mounted behind the straw chopper easily meets any spreading width requirement. This system has been further enhanced with the addition of Dual-Chop™ technology. All residue has to pass through a dedicated rake to ensure a superfine chop of all material.

The capacity of the CX8.85 & CX8.90, when fitted with optional folding covers, has been increased to perfectly match its huge appetite. A capacity of 12,500 litres is the largest available on a conventional combine and provides the convenience of opening and closing the grain tank covers from the comfort of the Harvest Suite™ Ultra cab.

SmartTrax™ system with Terraglide™ suspensionThe SmartTrax™ rubber tracks with Terraglide™ suspension system are optional on all CX7.90, CX8.80, CX8.85 and CX8.90 models. They are available in 24”, 28.5” and 34” widths and two pairs of hydraulic suspended rollers work independently to produce a silky smooth ride when harvesting. Want more? How about a longer track length for a larger overall footprint for reduced field compaction and enhanced traction.

AgRONOMIC AdVANTAgE

The CX8.90 combine is equipped with a Tier 4A compliant ECOBlue™ SCR engine which delivers 10% fuel savings when compared to a Tier 3 model. Outstanding transient response ensures constant productivity no matter what the field conditions. All other CX7 & CX8 models model benefit from ECOBlue™ HI-eSCR technology, which is compliant with the even more stringent Tier 4B regulations. Developed in partnership with New Holland’s sister brand FPT Industrial, it also features Common Rail technology for precision fuelling and outstandingly responsive performance.

When switching between different types of crop (small grain, corn, rice), the sectional concaves can be changed in under 20 minutes, as opposed to the traditional six hours! This is perfect for contractors and multi-crop farmers as a wide range of concaves are available.
