Sept 29 We’re off to tour the QVC studio in West Chester, PA, to get a behind-the- scenes look at multimedia retailing.. then we’re heading to the grounds of beautiful Hyde Park, in New York and FDR’s Presidential Library. Tonight we stay in Danbury, CT. (B) Day 5 Sat. Sept 30 After breakfast, we will visit JFK’s presidential library in Boston, MA. After lunch at the Quincy Market, we are joined by our local guide for a tour of Boston – the Freedom Trail, the Boston Massacre, and more. We’ll end our day with dinner at a local restaurant, and stay tonight in Woburn, MA in the Boston area. (B,D) Day 6 Sun. Oct 1 This morning we head to Salem, MA and the Salem Witch Museum and House of 7 Gables, the oldest surviving 17th Century mansion in New England. After lunch in Gloucester, we board the 7 Seas for a Whale Watching experience. Later we check into our Wells, Maine hotel for a two night stay, and enjoy a Lobster Bake, com- plete with music and a “how to eat lobster” demonstration. (B,D) Day 1 Tues. Sept 26 Pickup at our guaran- teed departure cities on our way to Maumee, OH, our first overnight. Day 2 Wed. Sept 27 Today we enter Penn- sylvania and visit the Flight 93 National Memo- rial near Stoystown. Tonight we enjoy a group dinner in an Old Order Amish family home. We stay overnight in Lancaster, PA. (B,D) Day 3 Thurs. Sept 28 We’ll visit Longwood Gardens, with its Italian water gardens, exotic foliage, orchids, and acres of colorful perenni- als and annuals. We’ll enjoy lunch at the Longwood Gardens Café and journey back to Lancaster to pick up our local guide for a tour of the Amish countryside. Enjoy a light dinner at Bird-in-Hand Restaurant before an evening delight, the production of Jonah at the Sight and Sound Theatre. Day 7 Mon. Oct 2 This morning enjoy a guided tour of Portland, visiting famous sites like the Portland Head Light, Victoria Mansion, Longfellow House and more. In Kennebunkport, enjoy lunch and shopping in Dock Square, and then a narrated Lobster Boat Excursion with incredible views of the rocky Maine coastline. After a driving tour of the Kennebunkport region, the Wedding Cake House, drive-by former President Bush’s “cottage”. Tonight we enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 8 Tues. Oct 3 We’ll continue to travel through New England, enjoying the colors and foliage in New Hampshire’s gorgeous White Mountains. We’ll tour the Castle in the Clouds, a majestic mountain-top estate overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. Enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in a quaint NH village. Visit Morse Farm Sugar Works and enjoy the VT tradition of Sugar On Snow and maple creemies. We have a late afternoon check-in at your South Burlington, VT hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is at an adjacent restaurant. (B,D)

Day 9 Wed. Oct 4 This morning we visit the Morgan Horse Farm, run by the U of Vermont and dedicated to the maintaining and training Vermont’s state animal. You will learn about its history and see the beautiful Morgans up close and personal! Next we visit Stowe, VT for lunch and shopping on your own. This afternoon visit Ben and Jerry’s for a guided tour. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of NY’s Adirondack Mountains and Vermont’s Green Mountains on a scenic, narrated cruise on Lake Champlain. Dinner and shopping on your own this evening is in the historic Church Street Marketplace of South Burlington. (B)

Day 10 Thurs. Oct 5 After a hot buffet breakfast, we embark on a day of travel through scenic upstate new York to Erie, PA for an overnight. (B)

Day 11 Fri. Oct 6 A short day of travel brings us to South Bend, IN and a tour of the Studebaker National Museum, housing cars and carriages, even the carriage that President Lincoln used. Nearby we enjoy a wonderful farewell dinner at the Tippecanoe Place Restaurant. We overnight in South Bend, IN. (B,D)

Day 12 Sat. Oct 7 We return to Iowa with memories, photos, and new friends. (B)
