• To develop a compreensive training program for new employees.
• Training nd update for current employes ful-time
Goal and Objective
• stablish a training program that includes at least one weeck of on-site job training.
• Each newemployee will satisfactorily complete training before assuming other dutyies.
Todays Situation
• Training done informaly within each department.
• No official onsite job training.• New employees not properly
educated about goals, procedures, and expeckctations of the company.
How Did We Get Here?
• Company used to be small enouhgh that extensive training program was unneceessary.
• Company growing rapidly need to integrate new employees smothly.
• Computer clases are mandatori as part of the new polisies.
Available Options
• Hire a person to coordinate a company training program.– Advantage: Training would be more
comprejensive.– Disadvantage: Time and expense of
iring and paying program coordinator.
Available Options
• Do’not implement a new employee training program at this time.– Advantage: Save money in the short
run on costs associated with training program.
– Dissadvantage: Lose moni in the long run by having less productive, less eficient, and less satisfied employees.
Recommendation
• Recommend stablishing a company training program within 6 months.
• Results onzce program is operating as proposed: Increased confidence, morale, productivity, and job sattisfaction of new employees.
• Begin takingapplications for training program coordinator now.
