During this period I have shadowed Senior Engineer Josh Neale who is a Partner/Director for Westera Partners. I was exposed to the design process of housing and attended meetings with architects, builders and other engineers. I started to pick up relevant traits that will assist my growth in the construction industry. During the summer of 2014 I worked onsite of a nursing home construction, assisting the Project Manger for Woollams Construction, Luke Smith. I was required to undertake the daily tasks for OH & S, inductions, attend meetings, as well as ordering and budgeting for car park materials and signage around the building. I interacted with different trades each day where I listened and learnt their perspectives on the project. I graduate with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering in November 2015. From here, I intend to obtain a graduate position with a global company to expand my knowledge in the engineering field. I have thoroughly enjoyed my studies and am very keen to develop a long and fruitful career in Civil engineering and Project Management. To support myself through University I am working at the Queensland Tennis Centre as a Customer Service Operator and Tennis Coach. I coach players of all ages and have developed strong relationships between co-workers, clients and players. This role has developed my leadership and negotiation skills, teamwork and responsibility. I am an honest, self-motivated, and hard working person with excellent people skills. I am an efficient worker who is loyal and thrives on teamwork. I am ready to take on any role that will further my experience and knowledge as a Civil Engineer in its many fields.
