• Crew Experience and Certification• Ask about licenses. Pilots must have a current FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107)

• Ask about aviation background & experience. Every good pilot tracks time and landings

• Ask about their training program

• Ask to see their Operating Procedures

• What are the pilot and visual observers duties and roles

• Safety and Risk Mitigation• What is their Insurance Coverage? Look for a minimum of $1M in liability coverage

• Ask about their safety program and how they assess risk prior to flight

• Legal Assessment• Ask if any FAA airspace approval is required for the job site, especially near airports
