Job Purpose

Sharing his time between New Building 'ards unctioning as the Topa) Representative andship'ard single point o contact* responsible or saet' and all other da' to da' activitieswithin the 'ard. !eading a team o trade speciic Site Supervisors responsible or closel'monitoring all pro%ect related ship'ard activities and ensuring all are e+ecuted according toplan.

Technical

 

Closel' managing* monitoring and controlling all stages o the new build pro%ect including9

steel cutting* vessel erection* painting* outitting* e3uipment installation* tests*commissioning* trials* vessel deliver' and mobili)ation.

• $rovide support and guidance to Site Supervisors and act as principal point o contact or

all ship'ard unctions throughout all stages o the new vessel construction process.

• :nderta5e dail' site visits to monitor saet'* 3ualit'* and production progress* monitoring

and reporting on site conditions and concerns.

• Control* monitoring and coordinating all testing* commissioning and sea trial activities.

• Continuousl' monitor and appraise the perormance o each new building 'ard unction

and ever' engineering service provider engaged b' the 'ard on Topa) pro%ects.

1nsure the Site Supervision technical members are trained* coached* and mentored.• &anage the activities and involvement o Site support unctions including 'ard personnel*

• &aintain close contact with the $ro%ect &anager providing wee5l' reports* updates and

eedbac5 regarding all pro%ect activities.

Planning and Cost Control

• &onitor all wor5 activities in relation to the oicial vessel Build Schedule/$lan and report

an' slippage or other deviations.

• Responsible or monitoring all ship'ard related activities in line with the build speciication

and an' approved variation orders.

• 1nsure that pro%ect costs and schedules are being eectivel' monitored* controlled and

reported at all times.

Reporting

• &onitor and report progress on all ship'ard activities and ensure all are e+ecutedaccording to plan and give eedbac5 to the $ro%ect &anager regarding progress and an'

deviations.

• Regularl' monitor and report on timelines and progress o each stage o the new build

pro%ect preormed at the ship building 'ard.

• 1nsure all wee5l' and monthl' reports and necessar' documents are issued on time

• Co;operate with $lanned &aintenance S'stem (NS team to support implementation and

ensure eective use o the management s'stem.

• 'ears2 e+perience as New Build Site Supervisor or as Technical/Dr' Doc5ing

Superintendent.

Job*Speci)ic S+ills'

• Solid understanding o shipbuilding production activities across all disciplines.
