E San Diego is a warm piece as the climate of the American city by which it is inspired. The city of San Diego has been called the birthplace of California. It is divided into several movements where each one is unique: we can transport ourselves and walk through its beaches, feel the sun's heat on our skin, the vibrations of your daily activity, your sunsets and its dreamy landscapes.

D San Diego, ein warmes Musikstück, inspiriert vom entsprechenden Klima dieser amerikanischen Stadt. San Diego nennt man auch den Geburtsort Kaliforniens. Die Komposition besteht aus verschiedenen einzigartigen Sätzen: Laufen am Strand entlang und das warme Gefühl der Sonne auf unserer Haut, tägliche Vibrationen, Sonnenuntergänge und traumhafte Landschaften.

N Of Ideal Infinity is gemaakt in opdracht van een schoolband in Japan. Levendige en ritmische thema’s lijden ons naar het lyrische midden. Na het Allegro vervolgt de muziek naar een vreugdevol en dramatisch einde. Of Ideal Infinity is nauwkeurig georkestreerd om het beste uit uw band te kunnen halen. Een gemiddeld technisch werk maar de muzikale beloning is zeer groot. Van harte aanbevolen voor concert of wedstrijd.

E Of Ideal Infinity was commissioned by a middle school band in Japan. Spirited and rhythmical themes lead us to the lyrical middle section. After returning to the Allegro section again, the music proceeds toward a joyous and dramatic ending. Carefully orchestrated to help bands perform at the highest level, the technical demands are reasonable, but the musical rewards will be great. Highly recommended for concert or contest use.

D Of Ideal Infinity entstand im Auftrag eines japanischen Schulblasorchesters. Lebendige und rhythmisch pointierte Themen führen uns zum lyrischen Mittelteil. Nach der Rückkehr zum Allegro bewegt sich die Musik hin zu einem freudigen und dramatischen Schluss. Of Ideal Infinity ist sorgfältig instrumentiert, damit Sie das Beste aus Ihrem Blasorchester herausholen können. Technisch ist das Werk mittelschwer, aber die musikalische Belohnung ist groß. Sehr zu empfehlen für Konzert oder Wettbewerb.

F Of Ideal Infinity a été commandé par un groupe de collège au Japon. Des thèmes rythmés et spirituels nous conduisent à la section médiatique lyrique. Après être retourné à la section Allegro, la musique continue vers un final joyeux et dramatique. Soigneusement orchestré pour aider les groupes à jouer au plus haut niveau, les exigences techniques sont raisonnables, mais les récompenses musicales seront excellentes. Fortement recommandé pour les concerts ou les concours.

N 's Ochtends wakker worden met de zon op je gezicht: dit is de beste voorwaarde voor het realiseren van een lang gepland project. Het gaat goed en alles krijgt langzaam vorm. Aan het einde van de dag is er alle reden om trots te zijn op wat je hebt bereikt en om te zeggen: dat was een erg mooie dag.

E Waking up in the morning with the sun on your face: The perfect start to the day you begin a long awaited project. Things are going well and everything is slowly taking shape. At the end of the day you have every reason to look proudly at what you have achieved and say: That was a beautiful day.

D Morgens aufzuwachen und sich die Sonne ins Gesicht scheinen zu lassen: dass sind beste Voraussetzungen, ein lange geplantes Projekt zu realisieren. Die Arbeit geht gut von der Hand und alles nimmt langsam Gestalt an. Am Ende des Tages gibt es allen Grund, stolz auf das Geleistete zu blicken und sich zu sagen: das war ein sehr schöner Tag.

F Se réveiller le matin avec le soleil sur le visage: c’est l’occasion de réaliser un projet planifié depuis longtemps. Les choses vont bien et tout se réalise lentement. À la fin de la journée, il y a toutes les raisons d'être fier de ce que vous avez accompli et de dire: c'était une très belle journée.

N The Legend of Jomi is in opdracht van de Feelener Musek Fanfare in Luxemburg gemaakt als cadeau voor het afscheidsconcert van haar dirigent Jean-Marie Thein (alias Jomi). Het muziekstuk is gebaseerd op drie letters, JMT (Jean-Marie Thein) die in het begin van het stuk in een specifiek melodisch element koninklijk worden gepresenteerd. Dit melodisch element komt steeds terug in de drie delen. Luister aandachtig en u zult het horen!

E The Legend of Jomi has been commissioned by the Feelener Musek Fanfare (Luxembourg) as a gift for the farewell concert of their conductor Jean-Marie Thein (alias Jomi). The piece is based on three letters, JMT (Jean-Marie Thein) which, transposed into the music alphabet, create together an expressive melodic element presented majestically at the very beginning of the piece. This melodic element is always present through this whole three-section piece. Listen carefully… and you will find it!

Zermatt: Het mooie, romantische gemeenschap in het Mattertal vormt het vertrekpunt en uitzicht op de Matterhorn. Veel toeristen bezoeken dit prachtige gebied. De Matterhorn ontmoedigt en trekt mensen aan op hetzelfde moment, al meer dan 150 jaar.

E The Matterhorn (Italian Monte Cervino) is one of the highest mountains in the Alps, with an altitude of 4478 meters. It’s striking figure and history makes it one of the most famous mountains in the world. Zermatt, the picturesque and romantic ski resort in the Matter valley is the departure point and best view of the Matterhorn. Many tourists visit this beautiful area. The Matterhorn has been both attracting and daunting climbers and tourists for more than 150 years.

Het is geïnspireerd op het Lorvão-klooster, gelegen in Penacova in de wijk Coimbra in Portugal. De componist ging voor een trailer-soundtrack-achtig episch genre en gevoel. Door het stuk heen kunt u spanning, drama en avontuur ervaren.

E On the Way to 100 Years came as a commission from Filarmónica Boa Vontade Lorvanense, from Penacova - Portugal. It was inspired by the Lorvão Monastery, located in Penacova in the district of Coimbra in Portugal. The composer went for a trailer-soundtrack-inspired epic genre and feel. Throughout the piece you can experience suspense, drama, and adventure.

D On the Way to 100 Years entstand im Auftrag der Filarmónica Boa Vontade Lorvanense, aus Penacova in Portugal. Inspiriert wurde das Werk durch das Lorvao-Kloster in Penacova im Bezirk Coimbra. Der Komponist versuchte, Musik wie zu einem Film-Trailer zu schreiben, sehr episch und gefühlvoll. Beim Zuhören kann man Spannung, atmosphärische Dichte und Dramatik spüren.

N The Ghost Ship is gebaseerd op het scheepswrak van de SS American Star. Het schip werd getroffen door een zware storm. Toen het gesleept werd brak de kabel waardoor het op dreef en uit het zicht raakte. Uiteindelijk dook het op aan de kust van Garcey, Fuerteventura, alwaar het, in 2 delen uiteengevallen, de perfecte setting voor mysterieuze gebeurtenissen werd. The Ghost Ship is een werk vol energie, mysterie en intensiteit dat ons door de hutten van dit befaamde spookschip zal leiden.

E The Ghost Ship is based on the SS American Star transatlantic shipwreck. The ship was hit by a heavy storm and when it was being towed, the tug cut the cable for no apparent reason and the American Star went adrift. After several days without being spotted, it turned up on the beach of Garcey, Fuerteventura, where, split in two pieces, became the perfect setting for mysterious events. A work full of energy, mystery and intensity that will lead us through the cabins of this famous ghost ship.

D The Ghost Ship bezieht sich auf das Schiffswrack des amerikanischen SS American Star. Es geriet in einen schweren Sturm und als es abgeschleppt werden sollte, riss dem Schlepper ohne erkennbaren Grund das Seil und die American Star trieb ab. Nach einigen Tagen wurde es am Strand von Garcey, Fuerteventura angespült, wo das in zwei Teile zerbrochene Schiff zum idealen Ort für mysteriöse Vorfälle wurde. The Ghost Ship ist ein Werk voller Energie, mystischer Atmosphäre und Intensität und nimmt uns auf eine Reise durch die Kabinen des Geisterschiffs.

F Le Ghost Ship est basé sur le naufrage transatlantique SS American Star. Le navire a été frappé par une forte tempête et quand il était remorqué, le remorqueur a coupé le câble sans raison apparente et la star américaine partit à la dérive. Après plusieurs jours sans être repéré, il est apparu sur la côte en Garcey, Fuerteventura, où, divisé en deux morceaux, il est devenu le cadre idéal pour des événements mystérieux. Un travail plein d’énergie, de mystère et d’intensité qui vous mènera à travers les cabines de ce fameux vaisseau fantôme.

Er is nu geen arm of rijk, oud of jong, gezond of ziek. Iedereen is één en laat zich meeslepen door deze ultieme Joodse bruiloftsdans. Voel de vreugde, leef de liefde en doe mee met de Hora Hadera!

E It is a wedding. There is laughter. There is singing. New love is in the making. Old friendships revive. Then, at once, everybody moves to the dance floor and wrap their arms around each other. On the rhythm of the music everybody is equal. There is no rich or poor, old or young, healthy or sick. Everybody is one and gets carried away by the ultimate Jewish wedding dance. N ORYZA is geschreven voor het 42ste Altea International Competition in Spanje. Paella wordt veel gegeten door Spanjaarden tijdens diverse feesten. Het werk beschrijft het proces van rijstproductie vanaf de oogst tot consumptie. Alle thema’s zijn gekoppeld aan een leidmotief dat bestaat uit de vier noten uit de titel van de partituur. Variaties, transformaties en een kleurrijke orkestratie zorgen voor een mooie samenhang in het muziekstuk. ORYZA is een sterke toewijding aan het lyrische en het epische.

E Written for the 42nd Altea International Competition in Spain. Paella usually serves Spaniards to gather and celebrate parties. The work describes the process that rice takes since it matures and is harvested until it arrives at the table to eat. All themes are linked to a leitmotif consisting of four notes taken from the title of the score. Through variations and transformations and a colorful orchestration, a cohesive discourse is developed. A firm commitment to the lyrical and the epic.

D Komponiert für die 42. Altea Interational Competition in Spanien. Wenn Spanier sich treffen und Feste feiern, dann ist Paella oft dabei . Das Stück beschreibt den Prozess der Reisproduktion von der Ernte bis zum Essen. Alle Themen sind verbunden mit einem Leitmotiv, bestehend aus vier Noten aus dem Titel. Variationen, Veränderungen und eine farbenreiche Instrumentation sorgen in diesem Musikstück für den inneren Zusammenhang. ORYZA hat einen starken Bezug sowohl zu lyrischen als auch epischen Momenten.

F Écrit pour le 42ème Concours International d'Altea en Espagne. La paella sert habituellement aux Espagnols à se rassembler et à célébrer les fêtes. Le morceau décrit le processus selon lequel le riz cuit après avoir mûrit, comment il est récolté jusqu'à ce qu'il arrive à la table pour le manger. Tous les thèmes sont liés à un fil conducteur composé de quatre notes prises à partir du titre de la partition. N Leonardo Dreams is gemaakt in opdracht van het symfonisch-orkest Santa Cecília of Cullera. In dit muziekstuk ontdekken we de fantastische verbeelding van het genie Da Vinci. Hij ontwierp veel vernuftigs variërend van een fiets tot een vliegende machine. Dit hele muziekstuk draait om twee initiele motieven die door het werk heen worden getransformeerd. Het is opgedeeld in verschillende secties gerelateerd aan onze hoofdrolspeler.

In this work we will discover the fantastic imagination of the genius of Da Vinci that led him to design a large number of ingenious machines ranging from a bicycle or scientific instruments to flying machines. The whole work revolves around two initial motifs that are being transformed throughout the work. It is divided into different sections related to our protagonist.

D Leonardo Dreams entstand im Auftrag des spanischen Orchesters Santa Cecilia aus Cullera. In diesem Stück wird man Zeuge von Genius Leonardo da Vincis, der zahlreiche Dinge erfand, vom Fahrrad bis zur Flugmaschine. Das ganze Werk beruht auf zwei Kernmotiven, die immer wieder in neuen Veränderungen auftauchen. Die verschiedenen Abschnitte des Stücks beziehen sich jeweils auf einen anderen Aspekt Leonardos.

N Shapes werd geschreven in opdracht van de gemeente Smallingerland ter gelegenheid van de ONFK 2018 te Drachten. Uitgangspunt voor deze compositie is de kunstbeweging De Stijl die honderd jaar geleden werd opgericht en ook in Drachten (hoofdplaats binnen de gemeente Smallingerland), zijn sporen heeft nagelaten. De compositie bestaat uit 3 delen waarbij telkens een kunstenaar uit deze beweging centraal staat.

E Shapes was commissioned by the municipality Smallingerland and written for the ONFK 2018 in Drachten. The starting point for this composition is the art movement De Stijl, which was founded a hundred years ago and has left its marks in Drachten (main town within the municipality of Smallingerland). Het is een feestelijk stuk in een Pasodoble-stijl. Het begint met een percussiesectie en trompetsolo. Dit is het begin van een reis door de ervaringen van de band, van de orkestratie tot de gebruikte muzikale set-stukken.

E 1º de Agosto. This piece was composed in commemoration of the centenary of Sociedade Musical 1º de Agosto, located in Vila Nova de Gaia - Portugal. It's a festive piece in a Pasodoble style. It starts with a percussion section and trumpet solo, to mark the beginning of a voyage through the band's experiences, from the orchestration to the musical set pieces used.

N Severi Spirit is een korte pasodoble, licht en pretentieloos, met een aantal subtiele metrische veranderingen, fris in stijl. Het tweede deel contrasteert met het begin, met een nog steeds lichte, maar toch lyrische, melodische lijn. Severi is gemaakt in opdracht van Filarmónica Severense en opgedragen aan zijn president Amadeu Lobo.

E Severi Spirit is a short pasodoble, light and unpretentious, with some subtle metric changes, pretending to be, within the genre, some freshness in style. The second part contrasts with the beginning, with a still light, yet lyric, melodic line. Commissioned by Filarmónica Severense and dedicated to its president Amadeu Lobo.

D Severi Spirit ist ein kurzer Pasodoble, einfach und unprätentiös, mit einigen subtilen metrischen Veränderungen, und in einem frischen Stil. Der zweite Teil kontrastiert mit der Einleitung durch seine eher lyrische melodische Linie. Severi entstand im Auftrag der Filarmónica Severense und ist deren Präsident Amadeu Lobo gewidmet.

F Severi Spirit est un pasodoble court, léger et sans prétention, avec de subtils changements métriques, prétendant être, dans le genre, une certaine fraîcheur de style. N A Time There Was werd geschreven in opdracht van het Trompetterkorps Koninklijke Marechaussee. De compositie heeft een koraalmatig karakter en is in eerste instantie bestemd voor het opluisteren van herdenkingen of als rustpunt in een concert. Aan het slot wordt de opening van het kerklied uren, dagen, maanden, jaren geciteerd, refererend aan de vergankelijkheid van het bestaan.

E A Time There Was, was composed after being commissioned by the Trumpet Corps of the Royal Dutch Military Police. The piece is chorale like in character and was initially intended for memorial like concerts. It is also suitable as a quiet interlude in your concert. At the end of the piece the opening of the Dutch hymn 'Hours, Days, Months, Years' is quoted, referring to the transient nature of existence.

D A Time There Was entstand im Auftrag des Trompetterkorps Koninklijke Marechaussee. Die Komposition hat einen choralartigen Charakter und eignet sich in erster Linie zur Gestaltung von Gedenkfeiern oder als Ruhepunkt in einem Konzert. Am Schluss wird das Kirchenlied Uren, Dagen, Maanden, Jaren (dt. Stunden, Tage, Monate, Jahre) zitiert, wodurch auf die Vergänglichkeit allen Seins Bezug genommen wird.

F A Time There Was a été commandé par le Corps des Clairons de la Gendarmerie Royale. La composition a un caractère de chorale et est principalement destinée aux commémorations ou comme point de repos dans un concert. À la fin, dans l'ouverture de la chanson de l'église sont citées des heures, des jours, des mois, des années, se référant à la nature transitoire de l'existence.

N Het werk is geschreven in de Spaanse stijl en heeft zodanig invloeden van de beroemde paso dobles en de Spaanse operette traditie, de zarzuela. Geschreven voor de wat kleinere orkesten en daarom te spelen met beperkte bezetting. Sierlijke melodielijnen en markante ritmes worden afgewisseld waarbij er een speelse interactie is tussen de twee solo trompetten en het orkest; wisselende maatsoorten worden hierbij niet geschuwd. Kortom, een uitdagend stuk voor zowel de solisten als het orkest.

E The work is written in a Spanish style and is influenced both by the famous paso dobles and the Spanish comedy operetta form, the zarzuela. As it was originally written for somewhat smaller orchestras, it’s possible to be played with limited players. Ornate melody lines and striking rhythms alternate with a playful interaction between the two solo trumpets and the orchestra, and watch out for the changing time signatures! In short, a challenging piece for both the soloists and the orchestra.

D Ein Werk im spanischen Stil, beeinflusst von berühmten Pasodobles und der Tradition der spanischen Operette, der Zarzuela. Es ist für kleinere Orchester geschrieben und daher auch mit eingeschränkter Besetzung spielbar. Zierliche Melodielinien und markante Rhythmen wechseln sich ab, wobei die Solisten und das Orchester auf spielerische Weise miteinander kommunizieren; vor Taktwechseln hatte der Komponist keine Scheu. Kurzum: ein herausforderndes Stück sowohl für Solisten auch für das Orchester.

F L'œuvre est écrite dans le style espagnol et présente des influences telles que les fameuses paso dobles et la tradition d'opérette espagnole, la zarzuela. Écrit pour les orchestres un peu plus petits et donc jouant avec une capacité limitée. Des lignes mélodiques gracieuses et des rythmes saisissants alternent avec une interaction ludique entre les deux trompettes solo et l'orchestre; les changements de rythmes ne sont pas évités. En bref, une pièce ambitieuse pour les solistes et l'orchestre.

N Andante in C majeur K 315 (K6 285e) is door Mozart gemaakt in opdracht van een rijke Nederlander genaamd Ferdinand De Jean. Het muziekstuk bestaat uit een eenvoudige fluitsolo en een lineair symfonisch gedeelte. De fluitsolo krijgt ruimte en vrijheid zonder met het orkest te hoeven concurreren. Het is een klassieke sonate met twee thema’s. Aan het eind volgt een herleving.

E The andante in C major K 315 (K6 285e) was commissioned to Mozart from a rich Dutchman called Ferdinand De Jean. The piece has a simple solo writing and a linear symphonic part. The flute solo can easily emerge without having to compete with the orchestra. Written in the classical form of the sonata we find two themes. This follows a brief one and a revival.

N Chocolat! Is een stuk geschreven voor solo-trompet, twee percussionisten en harmonie geïnspireerd op funk en jazz. De naam komt van de bijnaam van trompettist Raúl Garcia Chocolate. Het bestaat uit een hoofdgedeelte dat wordt herhaald in het derde deel van het werk en een centraal deel waar percussionisten en solotrompet volledig vrij kunnen improviseren. Het is een ideaal stuk om een concert te voltooien.

E Chocolat! is a piece written for solo trumpet, two percussionists and concertband with style inspired by funk and jazz music. The name, comes from the nickname of trumpet player Raúl Garcia Chocolate. It consists of a main part that is repeated in the third part of the work and a central part where percussionists and solo trumpet can openly vary the music, totally ad libitum. A completely open improvisation space. It is an ideal piece to complete a concert.

N Fritz Kreisler was violist en componist en leefde van 1875 tot 1962. Na een tournee door de V. S. studeerde hij van 1889 tot 1899 geneeskunde, waarna hij zijn vioolcarrière weer hervatte. Kreisler was een van de grootste violisten aller tijden. Zijn composities omvatten concerten en operettes, maar hij werd vooral bekend door zijn vele vioolcomposities zoals Liebesfreud en Kleiner Wiener Marsch.

E Fritz Kreisler was a violinist and composer and lived from 1875 to 1962. After a tour through the U. S. he studied medicine from 1889 to 1899, after which he resumed his violin career. Kreisler was one of the greatest violinists of all time. His compositions include concerts and operettas, but he was especially known for his many violin compositions such as Liebesfreud and Miniature Viennese March.

N Camille Saint-Saëns verkeerde tijdens het schrijven van zijn Derde Symfonie op de piek van zijn artistieke vermogens. In dezelfde periode schreef hij ook zijn Derde Vioolconcert, de Danse Macabre en zijn wereldberoemde Carnaval der Dieren. Het werk draagt de ondertitel Orgel-Symfonie omdat Saint-Saëns het kerkorgel hierin gebruikte als een orkestinstrument; niet noodzakelijkerwijs met een solo-rol. In dit arrangement wordt deze rol overgenomen door de koperblazers van het orkest.

E Camille Saint-Saëns wrote his Third Symphony, while at the peak of his artistic abilities. During the same period he also wrote his Third Violin Concerto, the Danse Macabre and his world famous Carnival of Animals. This work bears the subtitle Organ Symphony because Saint-Saëns used the church organ as an orchestral instrument; but not always with a solo role. In this arrangement the role of the organ is taken over by the brass players of the orchestra.

D Camille Saint-Saëns befand sich während der Komposition seine 3. Sinfonie auf dem Höhepunkt seines künstlerischen Schaffens. Während dieser Periode schrieb er auch sein 3. Violinkonzert, den Danse Macabre und seinen weltberühmten Karneval der Tiere. Die 3. Sinfonie hat den Untertitel Orgel-Sinfonie, da der Komponist auch die Kirchenorgel ins Orchester integriert hatte; nicht zwangsläufig mit solistischen Aufgaben. Im vorliegenden Arrangement ist diese Aufgabe den Blechbläsern des Orchesters übertragen worden.

The overture has a stormy beginning, and with a sparkling energy the character of Benvenuto Cellini comes to life in this dazzling arrangement of Berlioz’s masterwork.

Het werk is tevens geschikt voor een kleiner ensemble.

On Christmas Eve 1818 Franz Xaver Gruber and Joseph Mohr performed the Christmas song Silent Night, Holy Night for the first time in the Schifferkirche St. Nikola in Oberndorf, near Salzburg. The work is carefully scored to work for a reduced band if necessary.

N English Christmas Festival is het resultaat van een uitdaging van Kew Wind Orchestra – schrijf een kerstmedley die géén overeenkomsten vertoont met het Leroy Anderson Christmas Festival. Het is gebaseerd op zes Engelse kerstliederen – Forest Green (O Little Town of Bethlehem), The Coventry Carol, The Sussex Carol, Gloucestershire Wassail, én de componist zijn favoriete kerstlied, Cranham (In the Bleak Midwinter) van Gustav Holst. Het werk is tevens geschikt voor een kleiner ensemble.

E English Christmas Festival is the result of a challenge from Kew Wind Orchestra - write a Christmas medley with no overlap with the Leroy Anderson Christmas Festival. It is based upon six English Carols - Forest Green (O Little Town of Bethlehem), The Coventry Carol, The Sussex Carol, Gloucestershire Wassail, and the composers favourite carol, Cranham (In the Bleak Midwinter) by Gustav Holst. The work is carefully scored to work for a reduced band if necessary.

N Een programmatisch werk van Steven Reineke die de wonderen van de moderne luchtvaart laat horen. De opening staat voor de take-off en het machtige gevoel van de klim naar de hemel. Maar na het bereiken van de kruishoogte en het rustig zweven boven de wolken moet het vliegtuig dalen door een sterke turbulente storm. Alles komt goed als de piloot het vliegtuig weer onder controle krijgt en het orkest en publiek veilig aan de grond weet te brengen. Een mooi werk voor elk festival of concert.

E This is a programmatic work by Steven Reineke that illustrates the wonders of modern aviation. The opening represents take-off and the powerful feeling of the climb to the heavens. But after reaching cruising altitude and calm flying above the clouds, the plane has to descend due to a strong turbulent storm. Everything will be fine if the pilot gets the plane back under control and manages to bring the orchestra and public safely to the ground. A beautiful work for every festival or concert.

D Ein programmatisches Stück von Steven Reineke über die Wunder der modernen Luftfahrt. Zu Beginn wird der Start des Flugs beschrieben und das machtvolle Gefühl beim Aufsteigen in den Himmel. Aber nach dem Erreichen der Reiseflughöhe und dem ruhigen Schweben über den Wolken sinkt das Flugzeug plötzlich aufgrund starker Turbulenzen. Alles wendet sich aber zum Guten, als der Pilot das Flugzeug wieder unter seine Kontrolle bekommt und das Orchester und das Publikum wieder gut zur Erde zurückbringt. Ein schönes Werk für jedes Festival oder Konzert.

F Un travail programmatique par Steven Reineke qui montre les merveilles de l'aviation moderne. L'ouverture représente le décollage et le sentiment puissant de la montée au ciel. Mais après avoir atteint l'altitude de croisière et le calme planant au-dessus des nuages, l'avion doit descendre pour éviter la forte tempête. Tout ira bien si le pilote reprend le contrôle de l'avion et réussit à ramener l'orchestre et le public au sol en toute sécurité. Une belle pièce pour chaque festival ou concert.

N Fanfare for Westenholte (2015), werd geschreven voor Fanfareorkest Excelsior uit Westenholte onder leiding van Marten van der Wal. De compositie opent met een archetypische hoornroep Fanfare for Westenholte (2015), werd geschreven voor Fanfareorkest Excelsior uit Westenholte onder leiding van Marten van der Wal. De compositie opent met een archetypische hoornroep gecombineerd met een signaalachtige thematiek in de trompetten. Hierop volgt een lyrische melodie in het tenorregister. Het middendeel is bespiegelend van karakter. In een vraag-en-antwoord-spel wordt een imaginair nachtelijk jachttafereel opgeroepen.

E Fanfare for Westenholte (2015) was written for Fanfare Orchestra Excelsior from Westenholte (NLD) currently under the direction of Marten van der Wal. The composition opens with a typical horn call combined with a signal-like theme in the trumpets. This is followed by a lyrical melody in the middle register. The middle section is reflective in character. In a question-and-answer game an imaginary night hunting scene is summoned.

N Een zogenaamd toongedicht in 1 deel. Deze compositie van de Amerikaanse Steven Reineke vertelt het verhaal van het leven van Helena en Sibylla, tweeling zussen geboren in Duitsland in 1588. De zusjes zijn al vroeg in hun leven gescheiden, de een ging door het leven als Heks en de andere als Heilige. De componist gebruikt allerlei muzikale variaties om het turbulente leven van de twee zussen weer te geven. Een van de bekendste werken van Steven Reineke is nu gearrangeerd door Erik Rozendom.

E A tone poem in one movement. This work from the American composer, Steven Reineke tells the story of the lives of Helena and Sibylla, twin sisters born in Germany in 1588. The sisters were separated at an early age, and one became a witch, and the other became a saint. The composer uses many various musical variations to illustrate the turbulent life of the sisters. This is one of Steven Reineke’s most famous works and has now been arranged by Erik Rozendom.

Sie wurden schon bald nach ihrer Geburt getrennt; die eine ging als Hexe durchs Leben, die andere als Heilige. Der Komponist benutzt die verschiedensten musikalischen Stilmittel, um das turbulente Leben der beiden Schwestern zu schildern. Eine der bedeutendsten Kompositionen von Steven Reineke liegt nun in einem Neu-Arrangement von Erik Rozendom vor.

N Where Eagles Soar is een concert-ouverture die de staat Maine uitbeeldt in de regio New England van de noordoostelijke Verenigde Staten. Maine is een laagbevolkte en een zeer grote staat, een perfect luchtruim voor adelaars. Dit is gewoon een mooi stuk, gemiddeld niveau, dat een spectaculair resultaat oplevert. Heel goed geschikt voor het openen van een concert, maar zeker ook een goede keuze om op een festival te spelen.

E Where Eagles Soar is a concert overture portraying the great state of Maine in the New England region of the northeastern United States. Maine is a low populated and a very extensive state, a perfect airspace for Eagles. This is simply a nice piece, medium-easy level, that brings spectacular results. Not only would this open any concert with distinction, but it's a natural choice to take to festival as well.

D Where Eagles Soar ist eine Konzert-Ouvertüre, die den US-Bundesstaat Maine porträtiert, einen der sogenannten Neu-England-Staaten an der Nordost-Küste der USA. Maine ist von der Fläche her etwa doppelt so groß wie die Niederlande, hat aber eine sehr geringe Bevölkerungsdichte: ein für Adler bestens geeigneter Luftraum. Das Stück ist spieltechnisch recht einfach, klingt aber trotzdem sehr spektakulär. Es ist nicht nur als Eröffnungsstück eines Konzerts geeignet sondern kann auch ebenso bei Festivals gespielt werden.

Le Maine est un état peu peuplé et très étendu, un espace aérien parfait pour les Aigles. C'est simplement une belle pièce, de niveau moyen-facile, qui apporte des résultats spectaculaires. Très bien adapté pour l'ouverture d'un concert, mais aussi un bon choix pour jouer lors d’un festival.

N Een prachtig nieuw werk voor fanfare, gecomponeerd in opdracht van Fanfare Aurora uit Heesch t. g. v. haar 100-jarig bestaan in 2006. Het werk beschrijft het ontstaan van het dorp Heesch; daarnaast heeft de componist de naam 'Aurora' als belangrijke inspiratiebron gebruikt. Het werk staat in het klein repertorium Fanfare, 1e divisie.

E A splendid new work for fanfare band, commissioned by the 'Fanfare Aurora' from the Dutch village Heesch, on the occasion of its centennial in 2006. The composition describes the origin of the village Heesch. The composer also used the name 'Aurora' as an important source of inspiration. The work is listed in the 'small repertoire for fanfare band, 1st Division'.

D Ein wunderschönes neues Werk für Fanfarenorchester das im Auftrag des Fanfarenorchesters Aurora aus Heesch anläßlich seiner Hundertjahrfeier 2006 komponiert worden ist. Es beschreibt nicht nur die Gründung des Dorfes sondern der Komponist ist auch vom Namen „Aurora' inspiriert worden. Das Werk ist in der 1. Abteilung der kleinen Repertoireliste für Fanfarenorchester klassifiziert worden

F Une très belle nouvelle composition pour orchestre de fanfare, composée à la demande de la 'Fanfare Aurora' de Heesch (Pays-Bas) à l'occasion de son centième anniversaire en 2006. La pièce décrit la naissance du village de Heesch. Le compositeur a également utilisé de nom ' Aurore ' comme source d'inspiration importante.

N De Migyur of verschrikkelijke sneeuwman, een vermeende reusachtige primaat in de Himalaya, is in uiterlijk verwant aan de hypothetische Bigfoot uit Amerika en wordt door de wetenschap nog steeds als een mythe beschouwd. Dit is echter niet het geval onder de lokale bevolking die er nog steeds van overtuigd is dat hij echt bestaat. Migyur werd gecomponeerd in opdracht van het Nationaal Jeugd Fanfare Orkest o. l. v. Danny Oosterman ter gelegenheid van haar 50-jarig jubileum in 2009.

E The Migyur or Yeti, a giant primate creature in the Himalaya, can be related to the hypothetical Bigfoot from the U. S. Scientists still consider this Migyur as a mythe but this is not the case amongst the local population who has a holy belief in it's existence. This piece was commissioned by the National Youth Fanfare Orchestra (The Netherlands, Danny Oosterman Chief Conductor) on behalf of it's 50th anniversary in 2009.

Bei den Einheimischen sieht dies anders aus, denn sie glauben an seine Existenz. Migyur entstand im Auftrag des Nationalen Jugend-Fanfarerchesters (Dirigent: Danny Oosterman) anlässlich seines 50jährigen Bestehens im Jahre 2009.

N Dit expressieve werk van Benjamin Yeo schildert een muzikaal beeld van een jong kind dat slapend naast het raam luistert naar de fluisterende stem van de maan. Benjamin’s nauwkeurig en creatief orkestreren maakt dit werk een prima middel om uw orkestleden te herinneren aan het belang van een goede klank én balans en frasering. Het is tegelijkertijd een beheersbaar maar toch effectief muziekstuk. Het interessante percussie-element brengt deze mooie nacht goed in beeld.

N Een prachtig programmatisch werk voor Pele, de godin van Hawaii's vulkanen. Het werk opent met oeroude, mysterieuze geluiden die de onheilspellende vulkanen van Hawaï voorstellen. We worden dan voorgesteld aan Pele als een lange, mooie jonge vrouw. Plotseling en heftig barst één van haar vulkanen los, waardoor enorme chaos en vernietiging ontstaat. Nadat de uitbarsting afneemt, keert Pele's thema van creatie en schoonheid weer terug.

E A magnificent programmatic work that is an offering to Pele, the Goddess of Hawaii's volcanoes. The work opens with primordial, mysterious sounds representing the foreboding volcanoes of Hawaii. We are then introduced to Pele as a tall, beautiful young woman. Suddenly and violently, one of her volcanoes erupts, creating massive chaos and destruction. After the eruption subsides, Pele's theme of creation and beauty returns again.

D Ein wunderbares programmatisches Stück, das Pele dargebracht wird, der Göttin der Hawaiianischen Vulkane. Es eröffnet mit urzeitlichen, mysteriösen Klängen, mit denen die Unheil verheißenden Vulkane Hawaiis vorgestellt werden. Danach lernt man Pele kennen, eine große und schöne junge Frau. Plötzlich bricht einer ihrer Vulkane heftig aus, was enormes Chaos und Vernichtung zur Folge hat. Als sich alles beruhigt hat, kehrt Peles musikalisches Thema der Schöpfung und Schönheit wieder zurück.

F Un magnifique travail programmatique qui marque une offrande à Pelé, la déesse des volcans d'Hawaï. L'œuvre s'ouvre sur des sons primordiaux et mystérieux représentant les volcans inquiétants d'Hawaï. Nous sommes ensuite présentés à Pelé comme une grande et belle jeune femme. Soudainement et violemment, un de ses volcans entre en éruption, créant un chaos massif et la destruction. Après l'éruption, le thème de Pelé de la création et la beauté revient de nouveau.
