Rhonda CountsRhonda CountsRhonda Counts Fleetwood, PA rhondartstudio.com

Rhonda says she paints to enjoy the serenity and mindfulness in the process of creating art. She is inspired by the natural world, drawn to the beauty in its details. She also is compelled to try to capture the essence of the textures and patterns in nature on her canvas. Rhonda had a wonderful 30 years creating for the Walt Disney Company and retired as a Disney Imagineer with Walt Disney Imagineering. She was inspired by the various techniques her fellow Imagineers used in creating the themed environments within the Disney Parks. The most intriguing techniques are those used to “age” a building or in

transforming concrete into “natural themed landscapes.” Based on these techniques, she works to develop processes that capture nature’s textural details. “Natural Impressions”…She creates a textured canvas and then she paints.

Deborah EaterDeborah EaterDeborah Eater Levittown, PA https://DeborahEater.com Line is the driving element in my work, and curves hold a particular fascination for me. I can never be satisfied with a piece until the curves in it are 'just right.' Even though much of my work is abstract, I consider it to be inspired by nature because that's where the most beautiful curving lines are to be found. I approach collage as if it were painting, with preliminary sketches, color studies, and frequently an underpainting. I treat each piece of paper as a single brush stroke adding both color and texture. After the first layer, additional

pieces develop lights and shadows, blend colors, and sharpen or soften edges. It's a time-consuming process: a small 8" x 10" work typically involves one thousand or more individually-pasted pieces of paper. Principal Medium: painterly collage Creating Art Professionally Since: 2014 Art Education: Studied drawing and painting at Fleisher Art Memorial, 2010-2014 Top Juried/Invitational Shows: National Collage Society 2017 Juried Exhibition, Chicago, IL; Ellarslie Open 34, Trenton City Museum at Ellarslie Mansion, Trenton, NJ; 88th Annual Juried Exhibition, Phillips Mill Gallery, New Hope, PA; Philadelphia Sketch Club, Art of the Flower (2017), Absolutely Abstract (2016), Philadelphia, PA. Awards: Stover Mill Gallery, Erwinna, PA, 5th Annual Juried Exhibition (2016), Thompson Memorial Award; Riverfront Renais-sance Center, Millville, NJ, Art of the Pencil (2017) , third prize. Fleisher Art Memorial, Philadelphia, PA, 116th Annual Adult Student Exhibition, (2014), first prize in drawing Art Association/Club Membership: National Collage Society, Artists of Bristol, Doylestown Conservatory Artists Guild Publications: Shrift, Gwen, "Falls Artist Sticks with Inspiration," Bucks County Courier Times/Intelligencer, 25 May 2016 Please email your headshot and two or three artwork photos to [email protected]. If you have any other relevant information to add about your background, please write it below. Thank you for completing this form! I came to be an artist by a very crooked path. Initially trained as a research psychologist, my expertise with artistic crafts helped me to land a position teaching art in grades pre-K to 8. As an art teacher I had the opportunity to develop my skills in fine art, and I eventually left teaching to study drawing and painting. The chance discovery of a 'painting' created from torn paper inspired me to develop the collage technique that has become my principal medium.

Her pots are strongly influenced by Japanese Ceramics and the aesthetics of the high fire reduction process. Alecia MillerAlecia MillerAlecia Miller Phoenixville, PA aleciamiller.com

Alecia says she likes to touch things, to feel their textures in my hands, to connect with things on a tactile level. This has led her on an artistic journey through fabric, clay, and mixed media. While running her ceramics studio, her work was heavily influenced by forms found in nature, and the connection to the pieces that one receives when cradling a vessel in your hands. Over time, her work began to take on intricate and detailed patterned carving, which added to this experience. With a move back to eastern PA, the space for a ceramics studio was lost, and her focus shifted back 2 dimensional work. Creating mixed media artwork allows her to continue to play with textures in her pieces, and build up layers of meaning and ideas as part of the creative process. Mandalas feature heavily in her work as she is influenced by the work of Carl Jung and Joan Kellogg and their use of mandala creation as a tool for self-development and discovery. Themes of childhood and our relationships with nature are prevalent in both her mandalas and other pieces. The forms and structures of sacred geometry are also prevalent in her paintings as they demonstrate the connection across all living things.

Rinal ParikhRinal ParikhRinal Parikh Wallingford, PA www.rinalparikh.com

Rinal believes in always improving herself, learning from every stage in life and from nature. She loves incorporating several medi-ums into her art, and especially loves Indian folk art-Madhubani from Madhubani district, Kalamkari from Andhra Pradesh, Warli from Maharashtra. Her subject choices are directly influenced by her childhood memories in India. She also chooses subjects that are based on her emotions, thoughts and experiences from day to day life. All in all, her work is a modern adaptation of the traditional Indian folk art. She enjoys portraying her subjects with intricate details to the extent that often times it is
