Netherton Activity Centre is undergoing a change, and one for the better. Whether you call it Netherton Activity Centre, The library or The NAC – your local leisure centre and library is currently being rebuilt.

The new centre will include all the old favourites along with a range of fantastic new activities for the whole family to enjoy.

FITNESS SUITE:Keeping � t and healthy has never been easier than at the NAC. The fantastic state of the art � tness suite will include lots of new � tness equipment for you to enjoy. Complete with a number of di� erent forms of gym equipment including individual TV monitors and training programmes you will be able to work out on a programme just for you or catch up on the days soaps.

COMMUNITY HALL:The new NAC will still keep the community halls which you can still hire out for parties and sports or come along and join in the fun.

In the main hall we will still be running all your old favorites including:

• Badminton sessions• Keep fi t classes• Bouncy castle parties• Gymnastics classes

CRECHE:Childcare doesn’t have to be a problem when the NAC is on your doorstep.

Whether you want to check out a book in the library, join in a class or work out in the gym, the crèche will still be running at the NAC.

ACTIVITY STUDIO:The multipurpose activity studio at the NAC will be the only place to enjoy a � tness class or two, including all the old favourites aswell as some new classes for you to choose from. Sessions will include new and exciting classes including Tai-Chi, Yoga and Marshall Arts aswell as Spinning and Circuit training to name a few. However if classes aren’t your thing and you’re looking for a working space to hire – the Activity Studio will be available for conferences and events of all sizes.

YOUTH CLUB:A favourite of young people in Netherton, the Youth Club will still remain in our new centre. Packed with fun and exciting things to do after school, at the weekend and during the hols there will never be an excuse to be bored with the new revamped youth club.

FOOTBALL PITCHES:Looking for somewhere to play football? The new NAC will have two seven a side and four � ve a side synthetic turf pitches with � oodlighting so when the light fades your game won’t have to. In addition to this, there will also be a full size grass pitch and six miniature grass pitches to enjoy.

LIBRARY: Your new Netherton Library will be light and airy, packed with fun and interesting things to do. You’ll still � nd books from all your favourite authors, and our new express section means you’ll be able to borrow titles even when the library is closed.

Did you know you can hire popular DVDs from your local library? The latest hit movies are available as soon as they are released. Activities for children and young people will include story and rhymetime sessions.

On the � rst � oor a separate computer suite will be available for you to � nd information and explore new ideas. Alternatively, you can access our online resources and services from home via www.sefton.gov.uk/libraries. Remember, membership to your new library is FREE!.

JAKES

The new NAC will feature Jake’s Sensory World which will provide a unique and stimulating play environment for disabled children and their families. A � rst for Sefton, Jakes is a sensory play facility where disabled children and adults of all abilities can play, discover and enjoy new experiences together.
