a) Master Channel Configuration: Use "ZERO:BTS,xxx;" command to get the ABIS(Master) Timeslot and Sub-timeslot of each Radio TSL. Make the entry in timeslot column of Nethawk “setup connection” from PCM-TSL's and corresponding SUB_TSL’s. From above command output PCM-TSL “290-11” and corresponding SUB_TSL “1” so we put “11” in timeslot column and “1” in SubCh column. Also put “16” in Rate column. In line column choose “1”, if the Nethawk cable plugged in to first (left) socket else choose “2”. For stack choose “PCU2 16 kb/s” and in parameter column choose “Dyn. Abis on” if DAP is attached to TRX else “Dyn. Abis off”. Make other entry as default. In below picture entry is made for all master channels in above command output.

b) TRXSIG/D-Channel Configuration: Use ZERO command to find the TRXSIG/D-Channel link name (bold font in the above step-a command output). This is present against the "D-CH TELECOM LINK SET" info. Use ZDSB command to find the E1/T1 timeslot of this TRXSIG/D-Channel as. Entry: Select the number of connections as the number of TRXSIGs to be monitored. Take the corresponding value of “EXT PCM-TSL-SUB-TSL” of each TRXSIGs. For example TRXSIG “TR126”, “EXT PCM-TSL-SUB-TSL” is (290-30-04) so make the entry in Timeslot column as “30” and corresponding SubCh is “2” since 00-02-04-06 is the one timeslot distribution which is equivalent to 0-1-2-3. For Rate use “32” as in BR column or according to timeslot configuration (no. of timeslot * 8). In stack column choose “GSM Abis” and make column others default. Make these entries for all the TRXs to be monitored. For OMSIG monitoring use the same steps (ZDSB) used for the TRXSIG monitoring and in the Stack column choose “Nokia O&M Abis”. In below picture entry is made for TRXSIG of above TRX command output.

c) Slave Channel Configuration: Use ZERO command to find the DAP Id. Use ZESI command to find the E1/T1 Timeslots corresponding to this DAP. MAIN LEVEL COMMAND <___> < ZESI:ID=16:;

For example in the above case DAP size is 4-TSLs from 26 to 29 all channels so select the time slots from 26 to 29 in timeslot column and make entry in the SubCh 0,1,2,3 for every TSL's. In Stack column select the “PCU 16kb/s” and in parameter select “SLAVE FRAME”. In below picture entry is made for all the Slave Channels of above EDAP command output.

Click “OK” and save the configuration file in the same folder where the nethwak trace file is to be saved.

If you want to take the Gb traces also then you need to make Gb configuration in addition to the above Abis configuration then save the configuration file.
