Device Management

Netbiscuits’ custom device database, recognition & redirect system

The problem:Existing Open-source tools don’t work

WURFL has non-verified device dataDevice information is erroneous and

when trusted, can lead to CSS, JS & layout problems

The solution:Proprietary Device Testing protocol/methodology

Daily live updates20+ devices tested per weekDetailed info on browser capabilities, media

support, processing power, memory capacity and more on a per device level.

Write a single page in BiscuitML that works across 8,000+ mobile & connected devices the first time

Page 23: netbiscuits presentation

How do we do it?

We enable feature packed mobile sites by providing a vast array of multi-layout building blocks, called Biscuits, to create each site.

Removing the complexity of programming, each Biscuit is individually adaptable to the capabilities of a specific mobile device

Netbiscuits is able to exploit the rich, touch-based user interface capabilities of today’s smartphones and tablets while guaranteeing optimized delivery to less expensive but highly popular mass market feature phones as well

Each Biscuit is individually tested on our database of over 8,000 devices. This means you know your site will work on every device today, and every device tomorrow

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

We took a first stab at the kinds of tools the Post-Gazette could use in creating a mobile experience with Netbiscuits

Please visit:

http://bit.ly/AAkaLR

This site was created merely to show the variety of ways content can be delivered by the Post-Gazette., not to highlight creative elements.

Please note:

•Ticker at top of screen can be installed and removed in less than 10 seconds, and render instantly. Truly immediate breaking news.

•Content sections are built to do dropdown presentation of content directly from your RSS feeds.

•In Sports, there are fewer headlines, but a “More Sports” button that will deliver a full sports page. Note the floating ad position at the top of that Sports page.

•Because we don’t have access to your files, the videos are delivered off your systems. However, if the Post-Gazette were to be a client, there are a multitude of ways to deliver videos to the end user. MTV has built their mobile business around it.

•In the PG Daily Deal, we added a “Find Now” to the bottom, where users can utilize our store locator GPS functionality.

•Social Media interaction can be added to every page.
