What if Customer Doesn’t Want to Use My Account?
We hope contractors and
customers are convinced of
the benefits of the online
application process
If My Account cannot be
used, contractor will need to
submit a paper application
• While paper applications are still
accepted there are downsides
compared to online applications
• Manual applications mean
slower processing, and the
potential for errors and
incomplete applications
• Contractors cannot monitor
application status through an
online NEM Application
dashboard
March 28, 2016
58
Planned Future Online Application Enhancements
March 28, 2016
59
Future Online Application Enhancements
While the initial version of the NEM online application is
very robust, we will add more features and
enhancements over the next several months including:
Automated data fill and additional validation
On-demand online payments
• Meanwhile you can continue to pay NEM application fees
through Speedpay at pepco.com/specialbilling or by
mailing in a check with your invoice
Other usability enhancements and features
