Nestucca Valley School DistrictProposed Bond Information: At-A-Glance

Voters will be asked to consider a bond measure for the May 15, 2018 ballot. If the bond measure passes Nestucca Valley School District will sell $25,700,000 in General Obligation Bonds. The District may also qualify for $4,000,000 of State-matching funds, but will only receive those funds if the bond passes.

The current tax rate is $0.71 per $1,000 of assessed home value. This is the County-assessed value and not your home’s market or appraised value. If the measure passes, the estimated tax to real property owners would increase by $0.99 per $1,000 of assessed home value. For the owner of a $250,000 (assessed value) home, taxes would increase from $14.79 per month to $35.42 per month if the measure passes. The increased levy would remain in place through 2038.

If the measure does not pass, the additional rate of $0.99 per $1,000 of assessed home value will not be assessed, the current tax rate of $0.71 per $1,000 of assessed home value will remain in place until 2028, and the projects described above will not be undertaken.
