Nestls Middle East operations are headquartered in Dubai. During 2008, Nestl Middle East rolledout its GLOBE program, establishing common business process architecture, standardizing master data andstandardizing information systems. With five valued 3rd party logistics service providers supporting Nestl in itsdistribution in the Gulf, Nestl needed to find a platform to integrate its SAP system with the warehousemanagement systems of ABA (Qatar), Intercol (Bahrain), Agility (Oman), Mohebi and GAC (Dubai). For thisreason, Nestl chose SNS for its expertise in the field of integration and its renowned professionalism in projectmanagement.

The integration project, using Boomi Integration Platform, included interfaces such as SKU Import (with packingspecification import), Advanced Shipment Notice Import/Export, Shipment Order Import/Export, AdjustmentExport, Stock Hold Export and Stock Reconciliation with Nestl SAP system in Dubai and hosted in Sydney. Theinterfaces were based on EDI file transfers and direct database connection with complex logic.

The complexity of going-live with 5 distributors was one of the major challenges in a project that required the fullautomation of document and data transfer between 6 systems without impacting the performance, speed andreliability of the operation. The successful implementation of the project resulted in the elimination of paper andemail documents, full data integrity and a high visibility on the purchasing and order fulfillment process.
