Safer Neighbourhood Teams are urging individuals to take extra care when withdrawing money from ATM machines as there has been recent news of attempted thefts in the borough of Harrow. The method is to tap the victim on the shoulder, stating that they have dropped a £5 on the floor. Whilst distracted the card is taken. Harrow Borough still suffering from burglaries. We advise that all residents: Remember to shut all windows, big or small. Please do this even if your house is left unoccupied for a very short period of time Make your house look occupied, lights left on at night will help deter criminals. Also by getting your mail collected by a neighbour will aid us. You could also let your local Safer Neighbourhood Team know that you are planning to go on holiday and by letting us know we will keep a watchful eye over your property. Also do not leave car keys or handbags on display via your front door as criminals have been seeing this as an opportunity to steal vehicles and personal items. Pinner Police Station Opening Hour’s We would like to remind you that Pinner Police station is now open. To report any matters that need police attention, it is open on weekdays between 10am – 7pm and Saturdays 9am – 1pm. The urge to pop out, start your car and allow it to warm up in the morning and evening, whilst finishing a cup of tea before leaving for home or work is almost overpowering. At least two cars have been stolen during the recent cold snap while their owners were doing just this. Please, please, please DO NOT leave your vehicle unattended with the engine running, even on your own drive. In addition to the loss of your car and contents, it is extremely unlikely that your insurance company will cover the loss or any subsequent damage if your car is taken in such a way.

Beware of ATM Thieves operating in your area.

Safer Neighbourhood Teams are urging individuals
