FEBRUARY WORKSHOP
Credit Report Walk-through
What does financial wellness mean in your household? Here are some
tips to get you started on the right to ensuring good financial health:
Write down your financial goals. It’s harder to measure wellness without a goal in
mind.
Learn to budget effectively. Call the Resident Services Office to set up an
appointment to budget with Zoë if you aren’t sure where to start.
Get your bills in order. Don’t forget to account for your irregular bills like car
insurance or renter’s insurance. Make sure you know the dates these are due & put
them in your calendar.
Don’t have a savings account? Open one now! Credit unions have account
options for folks who don’t want to pay monthly fees. These accounts often don’t
have minimum deposit amounts.
Come up with a savings goal for the year. Do holiday expenses always sneak up
on you? Do you need to buy a new car? Do you want to take a trip? Putting away
a small amount each month will get your closer to making your goal a reality.
