Summary of changes

1 64 TRU/BIE Measurement

The TRU/BIE measurement collects counter data from the TRU/BIEequipment. The counters are signal quality counters (062000-062005).

The measurement gives information about transmission quality in usedPCM connection between a TRU/BIE and the BSC or anothertransmission equipment.

The measurement collects the counter data for each TRU/BIE.

Counters of TRU/BIE Measurement

Updated: During the time when the connection has been available.

The connection is unavailable when the bit error ratio (BER) in each second is worse than 1 * (1/1000) for a period of ten consecutive seconds. A new period of available time begins with the firstsecond of a period of ten consecutive seconds, each of which has a BER better than 1/1000.

Description: The degraded minutes.

Updated: When a bit error ratio is greater than 1*(1/1000000) during one minute.

NOTE! If there are severely errored seconds during the minute, those seconds are not calculated forthe one minute period. It means that the measured time can be more than one minute.

NOTE! Degraded minutes is a G.821 counter and therefore a TRU type equipment does not give thiscounter.
