Monopoly Around The World : Learning Media of

Geography for Elementary Student

Monopoly is one of a game used from children into adults, is a set of board and card to play and

mostly using strategy to be the winner in that game. Monopoly in nowadays has many version,

from the usual one into the new one or more complicated one, even now the virtual one. One of

the background’ version  of monopoly is traveling around the world, which mean has the

country’s name with the capital city on it.

Elementary student today, with the introduction of 2013 Curriculum must learn with biggerframe, they will be taught about how knowledge are in everywhere. While teacher must teach

with the way to connect it to another subject and fact in daily life.

This Learning media is called Monopoly Around The World, because of the original version and

the characteristic of this monopoly use the country and city name. The goal of this learning

media is to teach about country and city which include in social science study, with game and to

 be more fun and meaningful for student. This media is easy to use, the additional tools easy to

find and can be apply directly, when everything’s ready.

The teacher can use this to introduce the country in the world. With addition of the rule card of

questions and globe as the tools. Student can learn geography (social science) with more fun.
