Necron Stalkers

Necron stalkers are ponderous and ghoulish constructs. These

hilling creatures are skeletal, gaunt, and of goliath proportion. These

onstructs are ponderous and inescapable as death itself, the only

cho of life left to them an overly emphasized predatory urge to kill.

These blighted automatons shamble and pry upon battlefields with

ilent macabre stares, searching out the living with a cold and

ncomprehensible desire.

Stalkers are implacable giants that were first observed during the

Skopios incident in 873.M38. Skopios was a small planetoid in

nterstellar space approximately 1 weeks warp travel from Elysia,

sed by the Adeptus Mechanicus as a containment facility for

angerous experimentation. When a routine patrol by the Imperial

Navy reported no contact with the Skopios base, the 22nd

Elysian

Drop Troops Regiment was sent to investigate.

At first the facility seemed deserted upon arrival, but as the recon

eams penetrated deeper into the facilities fighting quickly broke out.

was soon discovered the automated production facilities of the

ase had been transformed beyond recognition by agents unknown

and were now manufacturing skeletal metal warriors. The 22nd

was

mmediately ordered to cleanse and burn the facility and has since

een declared Purgatus. It was in the aftermath of the encounter that

ict-captures revealed the first sightings of the Stalker construct. It

would not be until late in M41 that regular encounters with this

articular warrior form would be observed again as the Necron raids

ecame more frequent.

extension that crackles and pops with baleful gauss energy

It can be used in the shooting phase as a template weapon

with a strength of 5 and an armor penetration value of 4, or

as a powerful close combat weapon that ignores saves(including invulnerable).
