KEY SERVICES PROVIDED: cost-share assistance for community forest and landscape design, installation and management network development for statewide arboretums and Tree City USA communities training and professional development for landscape managers and green industry professionals disaster “releaf” assistance for impacted communities pest identification, monitoring and control recommendations development and support for statewide initiatives such as ReTree Nebraska, GreatPlants Program, conservation education and Nebraska Community Forestry Council 2009 Program Impacts: $338,000 granted to communities $6.1 million community dollars leveraged from local level 81 community inventories completed 146 community forestry and sustainable landscape projects implemented 6,835 people directly trained or assisted 6,062 volunteer days invested in program projects 91 media or news items (print, radio or TV) placed
