    Federal Communications Commission (FCC) InformationtoUserThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassAdigitaldevice,pursuanttoPart15ofFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonableprotectionagainstharmfulinterferencewhentheequipmentisoperatedinacommercialenvironment.Thisequipmentgenerates,uses,andcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyand,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructionmanual,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.Operationofthisequipmentinaresidentialareaislikelytocauseinterferenceinwhichcasetheuserwillberequiredtocorrecttheinterferenceathisownexpense.

    Micro-controller Test Forserialcommunications,theCTSlineissetinaMarkingcondition(negativevoltage)atthestartofthetest.ForVFDparallelcommunications,theBusylineissetactiveatthestartofthetest.ThefirsttestistheMicrocontrollertestwhichchecksoperationattheMicrocontroller.

    Ifanerrorisdiscovered,testinghalts,andthefirmwarebeginsexecutingaforeverdonothingloop.Noresponseissenttothehost.IftheMicrocontrollerTestpasses,theCTSandBusylineexceptionconditionsarelifted.

    External Memory Test Character (VFD Only) AseparatetestisperformedontheexternalcharacterPROM,ifitexists.ThePROMstatusisnotedandsavedforterminalretrievallaterusingtheResetcommand.

    Ifanerrorisdiscovered,allcharactersetsstoredinthePROMareconsideredinvalid,andanycommandreceivedattemptingtoswitchtooneofthesecharactersetsistreatedasaninvalidcommandandignored.

    Note: Eachcommandconsistsofatleasttwobytes.Thefirstbyte(0x1B)isacommandidentifierindicatingthenextbyte(s)isacommandbyte.Thecommandbytemaybefollowedbyparameterordatabytesdependingonthecommand.AlsonotethattheESCcharactercanbedisplayedbyusingtheDisplayESCCharactercommand.
