Admitted for Fall 2020
Now, it’s time to complete the steps below which are required to fnalize your
enrollment. Once you complete these steps, you have offcially completed
acceptance of the offer of admission.
Visit the Admissions Resources section at www.nccu.edu/admissions for
additional information.
STEP 1: FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
File the 2019-2020 FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. Use school code 002950
(Section VI)
Electronically transfer your 2018 Tax Information using the IRS Data
Retrieval Tool
STEP 2: PAY YOUR ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT
Visit here and enter your Banner ID (820#), provided on your
Eagle Promise Portal
Enter your PIN (your date of birth (MMDDYY) and last name
Click “Verify My Info”
After reviewing account information, click “Create My Account”
Upon account creation, click “Enroll Now” to submit your enrollment deposit
and register for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) and
pay your enrollment fee.

STEP 3: APPLY FOR ON-CAMPUS HOUSING
Visit myEOL and click the “My Housing” button. First Year students who
are admitted and complete their housing application by June 30th are
guaranteed housing. The housing application opens in January 2020.
Students will be able to select their room in May of 2020.
STEP 4: IMMUNIZATION
Submit immunization records: students taking four or more on campus
credit hours must submit proof of immunizations by the frst day of class.
Visit www.nccu.medicatconnect.com to upload your immunization records.
Failure to do so will result in the student being dropped from all classes.

Financial Planning
North Carolina Residency To be eligible to pay resident tuition, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
(green card holder) and have resided in North Carolina continuously for at least one
calendar year before the frst day of your frst semester of enrollment. You must also be
able to demonstrate that your primary purpose for being in North Carolina is something
other than school attendance.
Student Accounting The estimated tuition fees listed below cover one academic year (two semesters) of enrollment.
The fgures below are tuition amounts from 2019-2020 academic year; actual tuition for
Fall 2020 will be fnalized in Summer 2020. Visit https://legacy.nccu.edu/formsdocs/proxy. cfm?fle_id=894 for the most up-to-date information on cost of attendance.

Financial Aid At North Carolina Central University, the majority of undergraduates receive some form
of fnancial aid, such as loans, grants, or work study funds. For detailed information,
visit www.nccu.edu/ssa.
Complete the FAFSA for 2020-2021 Financial Aid is available from the Offce of Scholarships and Student Aid in the form of grants,
loans, scholarships, or work study. To apply for fnancial aid, complete a Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning October 1st online at https://studentaid.gov.

Career Services and Outreach (CSO) CSO offers a variety of programs and
resources to provide lifetime tools for career
development, job search training, experiential
education, employment and networking
opportunities. Please visit our website at

Housing North Carolina Central University has 12 residence
halls. The University requires freshmen to live
in a University operated residence hall. This
requirement is a step in the University’s efforts to
provide new students with an environment that
prepares them for academic success. National
research and data has shown that students who
live on campus have higher GPAs, and utilize
more resources on campus, such as tutoring,
computer labs, libraries and engagement

Immunization Records and Health Insurance Proof of immunizations and dates must be
entered and uploaded by the frst day of
class. Failure to do so will result in the
student being dropped from classes.

Also, students who intend to enroll into the
Blue Cross Blue Shield Student Insurance plan
or waive the Student Insurance plan should
complete this by the frst day of class as well.

Second-Degree & Transfer Students Final acceptance to NCCU is contingent upon
satisfactory completion of all work at your prior
or current institution. Submit your transcript
immediately upon completion of your last
semester of enrollment. Failure to do so may
delay your registration and enrollment.

University College The University College promotes student learning
and development by providing coordinated and
centralized academic resources and support
services. These services are aimed to help frst
and second year students defne their educational
and career goals. Relationships developed
through proactive advising, educational
planning, academic support and enrichment,
and continuous development to ensure students
are retained and equipped to persist toward
graduation. Staffed with 16 professional academic
advisors, our services extend beyond traditional
sessions to include student programming to
promote and develop intentional relationships.

Junior: 60-89 hours
