CRUSADERS WIN SIXTH CONSECUTIVE CHAMPIONSHIP
GREER, SC—Juan Carlos Aguilera defeated James Buerkle in two sets to give North Greenville University its sixth cons Championship. The Crusaders defeated Palm Beach Atlantic 5-3 in a rematch of last year's championship match.
NGU took two of three doubles matches as Gabriel Altmayer and William Ho won 8-5 over Brock Newton and James Bu won 8-4 over Lukas Colombo and Tyler Dealy in #2 doubles. Paul Segodo and Frankie Moulton defeated Tomas Kurhaj
PBA took the top two singles matches. Newton defeated Kurhajec 6-1, 6-3. Segodo defeated Young 6-1, 6-1.
NGU won the #3, 4, and 5 matches. Altmayer defeated Moulton 6-2, 6-0, while Ho won 6-0, 6-1 over Colombo. Aguilera' championship for the Crusaders.
Indiana Wesleyan and Spring Arbor tied for third place.

NCCAA NATIONAL TENNIS TOURNAMENT DAY ONE RESULTS
GREER, SC2Four teams remain undefeated after opening rounds of pool play at the National Christian College Athletic tournament, held at the Greer Tennis Center, is hosted by North Greenville University and the City of Greer, SC.
Five-time defending champion North Greenville, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Spring Arbor University all won bot Wesleyan will join these schools at 2-0 if they defeat Bethel College in the late match.
In Pool A, North Greenville defeated Bethel and Oakland City University. Indiana Wesleyan defeated Oakland City.
In Pool B, Palm Beach Atlantic and Spring Arbor both defeated Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Cedarville
Universit Results from the IWU-BC late match will be sent out tomorrow morning.
Pool play will resume Wednesday morning. The match-ups are: Palm Beach Atlantic/Spring Arbor, Oklahoma Wesleyan and Oakland City/Bethel. Semi-final action begins Wednesday afternoon with the finals being played Thursday morning.

NCCAA TENNIS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS- DAY 3 MEN'S RESULTS
GREER, SC- The national championship came down to the best North Greenville and Palm Beach Atlantic had to offer. Paul Segodo (PBA) battled three sets before Kirstukas secured North Greenville's fifth consecutive National Christian Co Atlantic won two of three doubles matches. In singles matches, North Greenville's Gintas Daniusevicius and Gabriel Altm advantage. John Tilton carried Palm Beach Atlantic to a 3-3 tie by defeating Jordy Gandy. William Ho gave North Green Peterson in the number four seed match. Daniel Fairchild defeated North Greenville's Andy Hack to bring the match to a showdown on Court One at the Greer Tennis Center with the national championship on the line. Segodo took the first se descended on the two team leaders as Kirstukas pulled out the third set 6-4. Indiana Wesleyan defeated Bethel College

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. ---- North Greenville College's Ilian Natchev picked up a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles Wednesday morning to key a 5-4 win over defending champion Gardner-Webb at the 2002 NCCAA National Men's Tennis Championships.
The Crusaders took two of three doubles matches, with Nestor Nunez and David Halldorsson teaming for a clutch, 9-7, win over Bryan Edmonds and Alex Weening at No. 2 doubles, and split the six singles matches to win the championship.
Nunez squeezed out a 6-4, 7-5 win over Edmonds at No. 1 singles, and Halldorrson won, 6-2, 6-2 over Phil Skelton at No. 2 singles. Alex Weening was solid for Gardner-Webb at No. 3 singles, winning a competitive match over Jadison Fioramosca, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Aaron Brown cruised past Andres Hilbron, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, and Mike Osborne took a 6-2, 6-1 win over Florian Parzefall at No. 6 singles for GWU.
The loss snapped a 10-match team winning streak for GWU, which finished the 2002 season with a 13-12 ledger.
Spring Arbor (Mich.) swept Greenville (Ill.), 5-0, to take third place in the tournament, sweeping through doubles action, 8-4, 8-4 and 8-0. Diego Borges took a 6-1, 6-2 win over Steve Kukorola at No. 2 singles, and Horia Neagos won, 6-1, 6-2, for Spring Arbor at No. 4 singles to seal the win.
Cedarville (Oh.) captured fourth place in the tournament, finishing off fifth-place Piedmont with a 5-2 win Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets took a pair of 8-2 wins in doubles action, and used a 6-0, 6-0 win by Gertjan Flikweert at No. 2 singles to put the match out of reach. Seb Stanesev took a 6-0, 6-0 win over David Dice at No. 1 singles for Piedmont's only singles win.

GARDNER-WEBB AND NORTH GREENVILLE MEN REMAIN UNBEATEN AFTER THIRD MATCH OF NCCAA MEN'S
BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. ---- Gardner-Webb and North Greenville, the top two seeds at this week's NCCAA National Men's Tennis Tournament, took 9-0 wins Tuesday morning to move to 3-0 in the round-robin competition.
Gardner-Webb shook off a pair of tough doubles' matches and played very well in all six singles' matches for the win over Cedarville (Oh.). Mike Osborne and Aaron Brown captured a hard-fought, 9-7, win at No. 2 doubles and Daniel Abrahao teamed with Amit Wadhwani took an 8-6 win over Victor Puhy and Aaron Franke at No. 3 doubles to give GWU a sweep heading into singles. Phil Skelton and Matt Cooper took an 8-5 win over David Dice and John Bailey at No. 1 doubles.
Brown and Osborne each posted big wins in singles' play, with Brown taking a 6-1, 6-0 win over DeHaan at No. 4 singles, and Osborne capturing a 6-0, 6-1 win over Puhy at No. 5 singles. Phil Skelton (6-3, 6-4) remained unbeaten in the tournament, picking up a win at No. 1 singles for GWU, moving up one position from his usual No. 2 spot in place of regular Bryan Edmonds. Edmonds, a sophomore, sat out Tuesday morning's match, but is expected to compete Wednesday.
North Greenville continued to impress as well, dropping only six games in six singles matches in a win over Greenville (Ill.) College. Jadison Fioramosca took a 6-0, 6-0 win over Phil Squibb at No. 3 singles, Ilia Natchev beat Steve Kukorola, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles and Carlos Gomez blanked Drew Walter, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 5 singles to set the pace. David Halldorsson took an 8-0 pro-set win over Cory Gerdts at No. 2 singles for NGC.
Gardner-Webb will face Greenville (Ill.) in the Tuesday afternoon match (approx. 2 p.m. EST). North Greenville will take on Piedmont (Ga.) at 2 p.m. EST. The Bulldogs and Crusaders will meet on Wednesday morning in the fifth match of the week for both teams.
Spring Arbor (Mich.) got on track Tuesday morning with a 7-2 win over Piedmont (Ga.), sweeping through doubles action, and dropping only a pro-set result at No. 1 singles and a 7-6, 6-3 decision at No. 6 singles. Seb Stanesev picked up the win for Piedmont at No. 1 singles, 8-3, over Dave Lassanske and David West topped Don Tippie at No. 6 singles for Piedmont.
Spring Arbor got a clutch, 7-5, 7-6(2) win at No. 3 singles from Jared Flick, and saw Horia Neagos and Ben Keaster dominate at No. 4 and No. 5 singles. Neagos took a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bryan Getty at No. 4, and Keaster defeated Travis Threadgill, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 5.
