NCC Report (2014-2015) NCC Officer Participation: Attended Army attachment camp held at 15 Garhwal Rifle, Hyderabad from 1 st to 15 th September 2014. NCC Cadets participation: Army Attachment Camp The Army attachment camp was held at 15 Garhwal Rifle, Hyderabad from 1 st to 15 th September 2014. There were 43 cadets of 1 TN Bn, 44 cadets from 10 Bn and 50 cadets from Puducherry 1 Bn were participated. Three ANOs from each Bn were also attended the camp. The following training were given to the cadets. 1.Physical training Cadets underwent 2.4km running everyday afterwards they had different exercises. It was very helpful for them towards their fitness. 2.Drill With the help of trained experts the drill practice has been conducted. All the technical inputs were given to the cadets which enrich their drill. 3. Weapon training Cadets had the rare opportunity to see and handle the various weapons including LMG, MMG, CMG, INSAS, Hand granide, Granide launcher, UBGL, DSR, Rocket launcher and 81mm Motor. The instructors were imparted knowledge on weapon properties, handling and applications to the cadets. 4.Games Evening cadets were played football, volleyball, basket ball, handball and kabaddi. It exhibits cadets talent in the respective games. 5. Rope climbing 6m rope climbing practice was given to cadets and many of them climbed and achieve the task.

NCC Report (2014-2015)

NCC Officer Participation:

Attended Army attachment camp held at 15 Garhwal Rifle, Hyderabad from 1st to

NCC Cadets participation:

Army Attachment Camp

The Army attachment camp was held at 15 Garhwal Rifle, Hyderabad from 1st to 15th

September 2014. There were 43 cadets of 1 TN Bn, 44 cadets from 10 Bn and 50

cadets from Puducherry 1 Bn were participated. Three ANOs from each Bn were also

attended the camp.

6. Classes

Motivation, First aid classes, ambush and patrolling were conducted to the

cadets.

Competition

Various competitions were conducted among the cadets. Quiz, drill, rope

climbing, volley ball, weapon handling competitions were conducted. Cadets were

eagerly participated in various events. Our 1 TN Bn NCC won the Drill Competition

Trophy. Our cadet Mr.Subash Chandra Bose (Dr.Ambedkar Govt. Arts College) won the

Gold Medal in Best Contingent Commander prize.

Col.Amitoz Singh addressed cadets during inaugural and closing ceremony. The

prize distribution was held at 76 Brigade, Secundrabad and prizes were given by

Maj.Gen.R.K.Jagga. The food and accommodation were given in a proper manner to

the cadets. The film show also arranged for the cadets during the training period.

In nutshell cadets were ultimately had the opportunity how the army life and they

have experienced for the half month period which sparks the cadets to join the armed

forces.

Other camps:

Two cadets have attended NIC at Mumbai conducted by Maharashtra Directorate

NCC from 3rd to 14th October 2014. Cdt.Sathishkumar and Cd.Elumalai have

attended Sports camp conducted at Ahmedabad. Cadets were attended TSC

and RDC selection camps conducted at VELTECH University followed by Pre

IGC and IGC held at Madurai. Three cadets were participated Football selection

camp conducted at Salem.

9 cadets - “C” certificate and 15 cadets – “B’ certificate were attended certificate

NCC certificate examination.

Extension Activities:

Road Riding Awareness Programme:

Our NCC cadets have participated the road riding awareness campaign on 30th January

2015. Nearby Dr.Ambedkar College premises the roads had covered for that campaign.

The cadets were issued pamphlets about the signal indications, rules and regulations

while driving & two wheeler riding. It has inaugurated by our college Principal.

Campus Cleaning

February 7th, 2015 our cadets actively involved in campus cleaning. All the solid wastes

were taken from the grounds. Mainly the wastes were plastic bags, covers, used water

packets, etc.

College Day Celebrations: On March 15th College Day was celebrated and Vice Chancellor of the Madras

University Dr.Thandavan has participates as Chief Guest and the Guar of Honour has

given by our NCC cadets. Our cadets receive many prizes given by the Principal.
