On February 5, 2011, Canada’s National Ballet School will host its annual fundraising Gala. In celebration of fifty-one years of glowing accomplishment and to highlight the budding talent now emerging at NBS, the Gala’s theme this year is Shine. We will shine a light on the beauty of dance; on the talent and determination required to become a professional dancer; and on the school as one of Canada’s leading arts training institutions.

Those who pursue a career in dance must relentlessly dedicate themselves to years of training. At NBS, we welcome the raw talent and passion of our students and help transform them into all that is brilliant, bright and glowing.

NBS is the only ballet school in North America that provides elite dance training, academic instruction and residential care on the same campus. With an international reputation for excellence, the School focuses first and foremost on the students’ talent and not their ability to finance their education. Providing financial support to

NBS is essential in keeping our doors open to the world’s brightest and best young dancers. All proceeds raised through the Shine Gala will be directed to NBS, an international leader in ballet training.
