Nazareth Margoschis College at Pillaiyanmanai is aco - educational college of Arts, Science and Commerce, affiliated to theManonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. It is named afterRev. Canon Arthur Margoschis, F.M.U. a well known S.P.G. Missionary ofTirunelveli Diocese. The college is situated in rural surroundings betweenTirunelveli and Tiruchendur and is accessible by bus and train. Estab-lished in the year 1967 the college completes 53 years of its educationalservice to the youth of this rural area. It is a campus of nearly 48 acres withbuildings for classrooms, playgrounds and separate hostels for both boysand girls fully protected with compound wall. There are three spaciousretiring halls for the girl students with all facilities. The college also enjoys theprovision for protected drinking water. The overhead tank is also built -sponsored by Sterlite Ltd. to ensure 24 hrs. water supply in the campus.

We have a big library - V.V. Group Library with all the latestrequirements to fulfill the needs of the students with internet access.

NMCP is blessed with a new building - BishopJ.A.D. Jebachandran auditorium in the first floor and 12 class rooms and aspacious mega computer lab - Oorvasi Selvaraj Computer Research Cen-tre in the ground floor. The Computer Centre has come up due to themunificence of Mr. D. Selvaraj, the proprietor of Oorvasi Soaps andQueen’s Land, Chennai in memory of his parent Mr. Isaac Duraisamy andMrs. Rajammal Duraisamy.

In addition to that a well equipped and comprehensivecomputer lab with internet facility funded by UGC is a source of computerknowledge to all the aspiring students. Language Lab is also available.

As minority Christian Institution, founded for imparting soundlearning, spiritual knowledge and character building of youth, the college issuccessful in achieving its goal in its 50 years of fruitful service in this ruralarea.

Our institution has taken a great start off and builds St. Paul’sChurch in Arasarkulam which is under 100 Church Programme ofThoothukudi - Nazareth Diocese. By the grace of Lord, College mainentrance arch has been built. To commemorate the Golden Jubilee of thecollege a new block has also been built. The establishment of waterstorage tank is yet another milestone. New classrooms, paver block roadsand students bike stand have been the latest addition to the infrastructure ofthe college. Our college has been accredited as B++ Grade (CGPA : 2.93)on 4 - Point Scale by the NAAC Peer team visit on 30 &31 October 2019.
