It’s the Year of the Naturalist at Warner Park Nature Center and we want to share our enthusiasm and experience exploring nature through a summer camp program this year!We’ll find adventures at our favorite overlooks and quiet points, search for mysteries in hidden ponds and creeks, and discover the unexpected in the forests and fields. Every morning will be spent outdoors in nature exploring what fascinates you!

• Online registration opens February 6

• Cost is $140 per week of camp.

• Camp sessions will run Monday - Friday from 8am to noon.

• Naturalist camp is for ages 6-12 and campers must meet the age requirements listed for that week of camp.

• All registered campers will receive their very own naturalist kit as part of their summer camp experience!

Ages 6-7 June 10-14Search for tadpoles, turn over a rotting log, hunt for salamanders in the creek and track pollinators in the garden. Experience the natural world through hands-on activities, close encounters with live animals, stories, nature hikes and outdoor play. Find a new adventure every day.

Exploring the Unexpected Naturalist Camp

Ages 8-9 June 24-28Get lost, discover new worlds, and meet the non-human natives. Will we capture or be captured? Unlock the mysteries surrounding the diverse habitats and their inhabitants within Warner Park. Each day, explorers will venture forth, witness nature, gather clues, capture living creatures and make deductions about what we find.

Ages 10-12 July 8-12Salamanders, warblers, crayfish, snakes, butterflies, toads, caterpillars...what can we discover throughout Warner Park? Investigate the forests, fields, creeks and ponds through a naturalist’s lens. Expect to be surprised, to be awed, to be baffled by what we find -- but most of all, expect the unexpected as we use all the tools of a naturalist to explore.
