TIDE Hackathon encourages innovation as part of a Continuum of events to improve interoperability between NATO, Nations and Partners. Other events include the TIDE Sprint 'think-tank' event and the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX). Along with the TIDE Hackathon they enable 'day zero interoperable forces' whilst supporting nations as they design interoperability into C2 and IT capabilities. The 2019 TIDE Hackathon will take place at the Conference Centre Warsaw Garrison Command, Warsaw Poland from 25 Feb to 01 Mar 2019. 2. The theme of the 2019 TIDE Hackathon is Data Science. Use cases were agreed at the Fall 2018 TIDE Sprint and developed into modelling, coding and visualization challenges. Participating teams will compete to develop solutions. Winning solutions could be demonstrated at the Spring 2019 TIDE Sprint or at CWIX 2019. 3. The aim of this Calling Notice is to provide the necessary administrative information in order to allow participants to plan their representation at the 2019 TIDE Hackathon. 4. Representatives from the following organisations are encouraged to apply for the 2019 TIDE Hackathon, as individuals or as teams of up to three participants: a. NATO, Nations' and Partners' Military Academic Institutions b. Universities from NATO and Partner nations with links to MODs c. National Defence Research Establishments d. Industry with links to defence research and development! start-ups 1 SMEs 5. The 2019 TIDE Hackathon will be conducted in English. Due to capacity, it is restricted to 100 participants only. 6. Registration for the 2019 TIDE Hackathon is described in detail at Enclosure 1 (2019 TIDE Hackathon Handbook). To conform with Host Nation security regulations, registration for this event will close on 06 Feb 2019. Applications received after this date have no guarantee of attendance. 2019 TIDE HACKATHON ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Subject. 2019 TIDE Hackathon

2. Location. The 2019 TIDE Hackathon will take place at the Conference Center Warsaw Garrison Command, Niepodleglosci 141A Avenue, Warsaw, Poland. The Hackathon will begin at 0800 on Mon 25 Feb 2019 and will conclude at 1330 on Fri 1 Mar 2019.

3. Attire. The dress code for the event is casual, participants are discouraged from wearing uniforms.

4. Registration. Registration information can be found in the 2019 TIDE Hackathon Handbook at https://www.act.natinU2019Hackathon and on Tidepedia at https:l/tide.act.nato.int/tidepedia/index.phpITIDE Hackathon (25 Feb - 1 Mar 2019).

5. Security and Access. The event's security classification is NATO UNCLASSIFIED Releasable to Public.

6. Accommodation. Please book your accommodation directly at a hotel. Recommendations can be found at Tidepedia. Booking, payments and cancellation are solely the participants' responsibility.

7. Attendance Fee. Attendance at the 2019 TIDE Hackathon is free of charge.

8. Icebreaker. An icebreaker event will take place on Monday 25 February. Further details will be promulgated at on the morning of 25 February 2019.
