KOHA is considered as a highly sophisticated web-based ILS, with a SQL database backend and accessible via z39.50 or SRU. The workshop offers a better understanding of the design, management, benefits and uses of KOHA Integrated Library System. • Open Source Software (OSS) • Application of Open Source Software in the Libraries • Open Source Software KOHA: Introduction • KOHA Installation and Management • Modules of KOHA • OPAC Customization • KOHA Backup/Restore • To provide extensive hands-on-training to the participants so as to enable them to work on KOHA independently. • To equip the participants for managing KOHA at Institutions. The session shall include tutorial with practical training on KOHA Integrated Library System. Extensive practical session /hands-on training, enriched with interactive session will be the hallmark of the Workshop. About the Workshop Course Coverage Objective Methodology Rs.700/-for LIS Professionals. Rs.500/- for Students & Research Scholars. $ 30/-for International LIS Professionals. Registration Charges Delegates are requested to fill the Registration Form and return the same along th with workshop fee to the Organizing Secretary latest by Wednesday, 06 April 2016. Registration will include Kit, Lunch and Tea. (Intake: Only 50 participants will be enrolled on the First Cum First Basis).
