Established in 1987, NPUAP is a multi-disciplinary, nationally andinternationally recognized organization that works in the areas ofeducation, public policy and research to impact the field of pressureulcers. By partnering with NPUAP, your organization can interact with a“think tank” of leaders that influence the future of pressure ulcerprevention and care. In recent years, NPUAP has been instrumental incollaborating with CMS on the MDS 3.0, in establishing consensus onunavoidable pressure ulcers and in research on standardizing the fieldof pressure redistribution surfaces. In 2009, the International PressureUlcer Prevention and Treatment Guidelines were published incollaboration with the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel.

Our impact is evident on many levels. In education, we haveinitiated a series of webinars with topics such as turning andrepositioning, nutrition and avoidable vs. unavoidable pressure ulcers.These webinars have furthered the educational mission of theorganization by effectively delivering essential material in a conciseand user friendly fashion. Our public policy committee continues towork with CMS on the MDS, a document which continues to be updatedand modified. In addition, we have been invited to participate in AHQRcomparative effectiveness workgroup. The NPUAP also advocated forchanges in the proposed competitive bidding for support surfaces andwheelchair cushions. In research, a database has been created forpressure ulcer literature. In addition, standardization guidelines arebeing developed based on research in the field of support surfaces.

Exhibits must be set up no later than 7:00AM Friday, February 22,2013. The exhibits officially close at 1:30PM on Saturday, February23, 2013. No exhibitors may dismantle exhibits until the officialclosing time.

Exhibitor Services: The following services will be provided forexhibitors at no additional charge: 7”x 44” identification sign andeight-foot high back wall and three-foot side drape. The official deco-rating and drayage company of NPUAP will provide and distribute anexhibitor kit containing literature and rates for all services and equip-ment. All furnishings and special requirements should be orderedthrough that decorating company.

Exhibit Coordinator: The official decorating company will manage allservices and have service personnel available at the time of installa-tion and dismantle.

Exhibitors Information Kit: A complete Exhibitors’ Kit containing allthe necessary order forms for drayage, electrical service, furniturerental, carpeting, cleaning, etc., will be provided to each exhibitorafter confirmation of space assignments.

Arrangement of Exhibits: The exhibitor agrees to manage theirexhibit so as not to obstruct or interfere with the view of the exhibitsof other exhibitors, or the free passage of spectators.

Care of Space: The exhibitor agrees not to deface, injure or mar theexhibition hall, furniture, fixtures, surfaces, or any other propertywithin the Matrriott Woodlands Waterway.

Insurance: NPUAP assumes no responsibility for the safety of thepersonnel and property of exhibitors or the personal property of theiragents.

Children: Under no circumstances will children be allowed in theexhibit hall during installation or dismantle. Children under 16 yearsof age must be registered for admission to the conference and mustbe accompanied by an adult at all times.

Shipping Instructions: Please ship on the exact date and to theexact location specified in the exhibitor’s manual. All transportationcharges are to be prepaid, and all shipments should be labeled withreturn address. Additional shipping instructions and labels will beprovided in the decorating kit. All shipments should be packedsecurely and fully prepaid. Bills of lading should be forwarded to thedrayage agent when shipment is made. Each exhibitor agrees to shiptheir materials at the company’s own risk and expense.

Conduct of Exhibits: All booths must be uniform. Interviews, demon-strations, and distribution of literature or samples must be madewithin the booth area assigned to the exhibitor.

Method of Payment: Applications shall be accompanied by credit card payment (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express); or acheck for full payment made payable to NPUAP, Attn: Exhibitor BoothRegistration, 1025 Thomas Jefferson St. NW, Ste. 500 East, Washington,DC 20007.

Cancellation Policy: If NPUAP receives written notice of space can-cellation more than 60 days (December 22, 2012) prior to the open-ing of the exhibits, a 50% refund of monies received will be made. Ifan exhibitor cancels less than 60 days prior the opening of exhibitsand the space is not resold or the exhibits are not sold out, the entirecost of booth space will be forfeited.
