• Philippines would like to assess the indicators that have been developed to ensure their appropriateness and relevance

Main Users/Uses of Data

– Inform policy and decision makers in planning for more evidence-based policy making and programming to address women’s issues and concerns and ensure gender responsiveness of policies, plans and programs

– Monitor progress on women’s empowerment and gender equality (esp. for use by advocates) and fulfilling reportorial requirements (eg., CEDAW, BPFA, MCW)

– Assess gender gaps and conduct of gender analysis to understand the issues (eg., discrimination, VAW) and bases of gender inequality

– Promote understanding on the actual situation of women and men to reduce stereotypes and promote empowerment of women
