Dam on our way to the community of Kingman, AZ, and our tour of the Route 66 Museum.

n This afternoon, our scenic Route 66 drive takes us to one of the Natural Wonders of the World – the Grand Canyon, where the stunning vistas take your breath away.

n Overnight in Tusayan, AZ.n After a day filled with picturesque

beauty, enjoy a relaxing dinner together at a local restaurant.

Thursday, October 15 (B,D)n After one last look at Grand Canyon

National Park, we tour the Explore Navajo Interactive Museum.

n Continuing on to Monument Valley, we meet our Navajo guide and experience a unique view from a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

n Enjoy a truly exceptional Navajo Cookout Dinner.

n Overnight in Kayenta, AZ.

Friday, October 16 (B,D)n The Anasazi Indian culture will come

to life on our tour of the Edge of the Cedars Museum & Ruins.

n Moab, the “Adventure Capital of Utah”, is a fun place to explore and have lunch on your own.

n More magnificent views await us in nearby Arches National Park.

n We’ll take a jet boat ride viewing spectacular red rock canyons.

n Afterward, enjoy a BBQ dinner on the Colorado River banks prior to turning in for the night in Moab, UT.

Saturday, October 17 (B,L)n We’ll start the day with jaw-dropping

views at Dead Horse Point State Park.n From there we’ll travel to Capitol

Reef National Park for exploration and a picnic lunch under towering cottonwood trees.

n Traveling on Scenic Highway 12 – an “All-American Road”, we drive over Boulder Mountain with incredible views of Capitol Reef, the Circle Cliffs and the Henry Mountains.

n Traveling through the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument, you’ll be surrounded by more impressive views.

n End the touring day with Bryce Canyon National Park, described as “a hell of a place to lose a cow.”

n The evening is yours to explore and dine on your own.

n Overnight at Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel.

Sunday, October 18 (B,D)n Head to Zion National Park with free

time to explore Zion Canyon and enjoy lunch on your own.

n This afternoon, we make our way across the Nevada Desert to Las Vegas for an overnight.

n Prior to turning in for the night, enjoy dinner at Lawry’s Prime Rib, and share remembrances of our national parks experiences.

Monday, October 19n Say farewell to the dramatic national

parks of the Southwest.n Start your journey home. For those

Monument Valley Monument Valley is a Navajo Nation tribal park on the border of Utah and Arizona. The red mesas and buttes surrounded by sandy plains are a familiar sight, filmed and photographed a number of times over the years for movies and commercials.

Arches National ParkOver 2,000 natural stone arches have been catalogued in Arches National Park, the largest number in the world, with Landscape Arch, at 306 feet, the second-longest. The park is also home to sandstone fins, balanced rocks and pinnacles.

Zion National ParkZion was Utah’s first national park. It’s most known for its canyon, averaging 2,000 feet deep. The canyon’s diverse topography leads to a diversity of habitats and species. Zion is home to over 1,000 species of plants, 67 species of mammals, 29 species of reptiles, 7 species of amphibians, 9 species of fish, and 207 species of birds.
