GENERAL INFORMATION
i_Lead 0.2 Madrid 2014 was a National Conference of AIESEC in Spain celebrated in
Madrid from 27th to 30th November, hosted by AIESEC in Madrid.
The main i_Lead 0.2 Madrid 2014 goal was to gather all the AIESEC members accross
Spain to elect the next President, connect with companies, be aware of the situation of
AIESEC in Spain, receive all the information from the National Directors in order to
develop the international and national strategies towards goal achievements.
The four-days conference was divided in four blocks, each one with a theme:
The theme of the first day was “I see the changes happening already and we are
creating a new generation”. It was mainly focused on the Election process of the next
President of AIESEC in Spain for the term 2015-2016. AIESEC is recognised as one of
the most democratic organisations by WorldBlu. The candidate presented his program,
answered to the members all the questions they asked and had an interview with one of
the founders of AIESEC, Bernd Thomas
The theme of the second day “I am aware that the change is a needed action” took
place Youth to Business, a day where the members of AIESEC had sessions and
workshop with different companies as BBVA, Everis, Teamlabs, Google… This day the
young members of AIESEC had the opportunity to connect with companies, and share
and present their ideas.
The theme of the third day was “I understand the changes needed to drive 2015”. The
facilitators transmitted the delegates the knowledges needed to reach the goals for 2015
AIESEC in the whole world had committed to. It also took place the “Gala Night” during
the dinner, it was a very emotional night with many surprises and awards.
The theme of the fouth and second day “I am aware about my journey and my role on
the next period to accomplish AIESEC in Spain goals”. The different sessions were
divided by tracks depending on the role the delegates had inside the organisation, the
objective was to understand their roles for the next months, be aware of their fears and
make an action plan for the next months that allowed them to face challenges and to
achieve the national goals.

DELEGATESThe total number of attendees to i_Lead 0.2 Madrid 2014 was 127 people, all of them young
AIESEC members from the 14 local committees across Spain.
The delegates have different roles within the organisation and are divided in the different areas as
well. The graphics below reflects the number of delegates per role, area and local
committee.
Some sessions were divided by the role of the delegates since an LCP (Local Committee

COMMUNICATIONSThe Organizing Committee wanted to transmit a young, fresh image that invites the
AIESEC members all the enthusiastic they had about the conference.
For the logo and the webpage 3 light colours have been used mainly: blue, green and red. A
long time had passd since the last National Conference celebrated in Madrid and organized
by the Local Committee of Madrid, we wanted to transmit this fact, so we included in the
logo the symbol of Madrid city “the bear and the arbutus”, the top of the tree symbolises
the dot of the “i” symbolises the top of the arbutus and the “i” letter symbolises the trunk of
the arbutus. The bear stands on the underscore which is included on the official name of the
conference. In the logo the red colour has also been used to symbolise the colour of the
region of Madrid.

a photo and the answers to some
personal questions. This allowed the
delegates to get to know more
personally the people who were
preparing the conference.
The purpose of this campaign was to
encourage AIESEC members to come to
Madrid and attend the conference, thus,
we posted different photos of city and also
a video of the Oganizing Committee in
different places of Madrid was published
and had more than 1000 reach (below)

Expenses
AccomodationMaterialsConference rooms
All the team was awared about the finance situation, we needed to spend as less
money as possible but at the same time give a great experience to the attendees .
One of the crucial decisions to take was to find a proper venue which allow us to
have 5 rooms for the different sessions and activities, also to accomodate all the
delegates and to have all the meals included, a proper technology equipment
(projectors and sound system in each room). I was difficult to find a venue with all
these requiments that fitted in our tight budget.
As incomes to cover the expenses, we had the fee of the delegates but weren’t
enough so the Sponsorship team worked really hard in order to get extra incomes
from the partners and also they looked for partners in-kind in order to have snacks
and drinks during the breaks and in this way not having more expenses. During the
conference, we sold merchandising t-shirts which allowed us to have more incomes
in order to cover the expenses.
We hadn’t got profit, nor
loss. We were able to
provide a great
experience to the
delegates with a good
accomodation in a 4-star
hotel, abundance of food
and the proper equipment
to deliver the different
sessions and activities
and we could covered all
the expenses after a really
hard work.

LOGISTICSHotel Torrejón de Ardoz is well prepared and equipped to organize conferences, it has
several spacious rooms to do all the different activities, workshops and sessions with
technology equipment.
The accomodation was in Hotel Torrejón de Ardoz and Hotel Aida, these are two hotels one
in front of another, they belong to "Grupo Hostal", are located in the centre of Torrejón de
Ardoz and are very close to Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas Airport and Ifema.
They are also very well communicated by bus (there is a bus stop in front of the hotel) and
by train, as the Cercanías train station of Renfe is very close.
There are rooms with triple and double beds and they have free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air
conditioning and private bathrooms.
It was crucial for this conference the size of the session rooms, their equipment, and the
possibility to accommodate to all the delegates even it was a big number.
20
