At SSE, we hope to inspire students to be lifelong learners, have a growth mindset, and set personal and academic goals to become MORE. It’s never too early to emphasize the importance of reaching higher and thinking about the future!
Students are encouraged to wear college gear (hat, t-shirt, etc.) on Wednesday, May
1st to show our support on National College Signing Day and emphasize the benefits of reaching for a higher

School Health Advisory Council & Sex Education
The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) has reached consensus on a scope and sequence from the Scott & White Wellness and Sexual Health curriculum to include in its annual report of recommendations. The committee will convene again on Tuesday, May 14 to further discuss recommendations for all areas of their work and will be scheduled to present their annual report to the DSISD Board of Trustees on May 20, 2019. For additional information, including the opportunities to view the specific lessons in the recommended scope and sequence for 7th grade Sex Education, please see the SHAC website available under the Community>Advisory Committees tab at www.dsisdtx.us.
