• Located in Beijing,China.• Constructions began in December 2001 and completed in
July 2007,(took 6,5 years to build).Opened in December 2007.
• Cost 300 million Euros which converts to 238 million pounds.
• Floor area: 219,400 m2.• Main elements are titanium and glass.• Its surrounded by artificial lake and grass.• Grass creates nest effect, from side it looks like an egg in it.
• There are 5,452 seats in three halls and is almost 12,000 squared meters.
• The measurement of dome is 212m in east-west direction,144m north-south direction and 46 m high.
• On the exterior there are 18,000 titanium plates and 1000+ ultra-white sheets of glass.
• This material of glass is known for its high rate of light transmission.
Interior
There are 5,452 seats in three halls and is almost 12,000 squared meters.
• Opera House mainly used to stage operas,dramas,ballets and shows. The surface of the ballet stage is made of Oregon timber and its triple-layer construction ensures the possible resilience, helping to protect the feet of dancers. There are 2,500 seats in this area.
The measurement of dome is 212m in east-west direction,144m north-south direction and 46 m high.

I think the idea of an egg is well combined together with the Beijing National Stadium as the concept for that was birds nest.
